I bought a manufacturer refurbished one for 152 after missing the deal for 155 from argos. It's a really good tab, comparable to an ipad 3 mini but not quite as good battery life.

Now to make sure as many people get one as possible without it going out of stock we should use all the stock in the places which do the price match first so John Lewis, AO etc then go for the ones from lenovo

Sorry about that.
Had one for two months; so far very impressed. Finger print reader works well. Would recommend a case that switches off the tablet when you close it.

There was an issue with these corrupting storage cards but this was fixed by Lenovo; no issues with my micro sd card over 2 weeks.

Yes.
Good deal, got the Lenovo tab A10 70 but starting to slow down a bit now. Like the idea of the extra ram but need the 10" nowadays just like the Mrs. Will keep looking around, heat added.
I have one of these and very pleased with the build quality and performance, it's really impressive, only minor letdown is the 16GB ram which would be nicer if 32GB but it's still ok for me.

My last tablet was a Samsung Tab2 which was the worst tablet in the world, runs like a 1 legged dog,
Great deal. Who is the Quidco 6% off?

I had a 10" but found the 8" actually more manageable in the hand. Same with the wife.

I am talking about tablets by the way

Yep, know what you mean, but I've started to wear glasses for reading now. Like they say though, once you've had a 10" you wouldn't settle for anything less.

I have one of these, the 4/64gb model, very nice to finally use a tablet that's as powerful as a mid-range mobile.
But the battery drain when switched off is annoying, anyone any ideas of a fix, something I've missed out?
My old Samsung android and Lenovo windoze tablets hardly lose any power when switched off for weeks.
My wife has an iPad 4 and is complaining about the weight and is trying to take my iPad pro but I won't let her. Is this lightweight compared to the 4?

I woud use some power monitoring apps to try to identify the issue. Just a thought but have you disabled "Keep WiFi on during sleep"?

cheers, I'll have another look at such settings, although I always power off my tablets.
Bought the white version from Currys when it was on offer at £159.99. Appeared to be a great little tablet (great screen, sound, camera with flash)...but only for a while. After a couple of days, it began to exhibit effects of what I believe are called 'ghost touches'. It started to do things like open (and close) multiple apps at random, display actions that looked like someone swiping the screen and so on. Rebooting rectified the issue, but only temporarily. Got a replacement from Currys, but after a few days, it started doing exactly the same thing. Shame, because I really liked this tablet. (Some people on various sites said that this issue was due to one of Lenovo's updates...). Great price, though.

Strange that 2 models displayed same behaviour, but I haven't seen that at all.
Alternatively, it's not apple so it always has that going for it.

I've the 3/16GB model listed here. I'm just back from a week away. I left the tablet fully charged, switched off and unplugged. I can't quite remember the exact %age battery when I switched it back on, but I was impressed at how little drain there was, I think it was well over 90% left.

* Have you used a battery monitor to check if you've got a faulty battery?
* Could you have got a virus or rogue app that keeps the tablet awake a bit and running stuff on the Wi-Fi in the background?
* Have you tried switching into it "airplane mode" before switching off, to kill any Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections?
* Did it always have this problem? If not, have you tried a factory reset to see if this helps?

I got mine in the January sales and on the whole apart from some missing hardware sensors, (like a compass and gyro), I'm pretty pleased with this tablet and would recommend it at this price point.

Remember though, if you want to download large games or media files, you'll probably need to factor in the extra cost of a fast A1 class microSD card, to be "Format(ted) as Internal", as the system takes up around half of the available 16GB. This will reduce the price difference to the 64GB model from £60 to around £40, and it may be worth considering paying it, to get an extra 1GB RAM, and the much faster (than SD) 64GB of eMMC storage. However, my 16GB model has done everything I've asked of it pretty well. "Horses for courses".
I paid £100 for the non-Plus version back in November, not sure the Plus model is worth the extra £60, given that it's a 60% increase in price for only a 23% increase in CPU power.

I wouldn't say the non-Plus version is at all slow really.
It's very confusing on the description and states it has micro SD support but other links showing no SD card support. Can someone confirm on this particular version wether or not it had SD card slot. Thanks

There's also the upgrade to a full HD display, which admittedly isn't as important on an 8" tablet as it is on a 10", but it's a pretty good display so may be worth the extra outlay.
