Where to enter said passcode. And, if you'll excuse what could be a silly question; do you have to be a member of healthservicediscount to get this. And, if so, do you have to prove that you work for the health service (I don't).Cheers for any further info . . .

You need to be a member of the website and I can’t remember as I signed up some time ago and not sure if they asked for any proof. You can try to sign up. Or try this link to directly access if it works.

It's a good tablet for the money.

Recommend get a Micro SD card asap though as 16GB won't last very long.
Thanks, I needed a new tablet and couldn't pass it up at this price.
Specs are conflicting.. On the page under specs says 64GB + 12GB SD but at the bottom says 16GB...???

Can all apps be installed/transferred to external storage?

I'll try it tonight on the device tonight - apparently you can using the SD format menu to format as Internal Storage.
I wish there was a 32Gb version

I've been in the market for an 8" tablet for a while. I've bought a MiFi router now so it doesn't specifically need to be an LTE tab now.
This is a very good deal, voted hot! 6% TopCashback is also available!
How does the speed compare to the painfully slow fire HD 8?
Dolby atmos on an 8 inch tablet
This or xiaomi mi pad 4?
great price, I have this tablet and can't fault it

How does the speed compare to the painfully slow fire HD 8?

Based on experience with the SD625 inside it, it's faster than the Fire 7/8 but a fair bit slower than the Fire 10" which uses a different (considerably more powerful) CPU. When it's regularly on sale for £99, I still think the Fire 10 is the best deal in tablets. At regular price, this one is pretty decent.
Would like to hear if adoptable storage is available on this, 16gb just wouldn't be enough my guess would be that there would only be 12gb or so for user?

I am not sure that the Mediatek CPU is considerably more powerful by any stretch of the imagination. I would go so far as to say they are probably on par with each other. You are also not restricted to Amazon's market place (yes I know you can install the Play store - but its still not as fluid as having the store officially built in)
I have this tablet has snapdragon 600 series, very snappy performance and has updated to oreo, screen quality is good

Any real difference in cpu performance that affects the tablets general usage isnt likely to be noticed in real terms, more likely just synthetic benchmark tests.

Given that those are both Amazons own cut down version of Android/Linux with access to their own app store and not the Google Play store id be willing to forgive any cpu performance offset and go with this.

Im still using the 2014 Tab S8 and its still quick (only 2gb ram not 3gb) and general performance is fine.

Hot deal.

Is it updated to Oreo?

Is it updated to Oreo?

According to the Lenovo roadmap and a few comments yes it has an update available to Android 8.1 Oreo which installs OTA - I'm not at home at the moment to play with it.
Roadmap is on this website - support.lenovo.com/gb/…098
From experience, using an sd card for adoptive storage is useless. Not all apps can still be installed to SD.
