Have been looking around for a mid range 8" tablet, wanting to spend approx. £120-150. Had been comparing the Huawei M3 Lite 8 and the Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus, both seem very similar and can be had new in my price range.

Came across these, they are refurbs, but seem to be from one of the larger suppliers and are grade A1 - good as new (we'll see). Took the plunge and ordered.

Solid, fast and very easy to use quality tablet, here is the perfect Lenovo speaker to go with it for you / anyone.. if you need it!

Not a fan of Lenovo phones or tablets due to lack of updates.

At this price however with 3GB RAM, it's a great deal. Hot from me.
Decent and fast enough for the price.

The Fire 8 HD is rubbish in comparison.
I've had mine for ages, it had bugs but the updates have fixed them all.
Shame I had it in my basket now expired

When was the last major OS update? What you on now? What about security updates?

Thanks.
If it helps anyone...

Cheapest I found Huawei m3 8 lite for was £125 new from Very using a code for £15 off £100 spend - but had to be on 12 month BNPL.

And the Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus was available for £149 from Laptop Outlet with the speaker thrown in - Potential to add to PayPal credit and spread over 4 months.

I think this updates to Oreo 8.1 over the air but the Huawei M3 8 Lite is still waiting.
I have one of these and it has never struggled. I'm not a heavy user, but I have plenty of browser tabs open without issue, watched a lot of BT TV and BT Sport on it no worries. Screen is very nice. Gets the thumbs up fro me.
Easily best value Android tablet at this price. Almost identical to the 3 plus, save the USB c connector. Have to spend fair bit more to match let alone beat the performance on offer here.
Also the 10 inch can be had for £149

I needed the 8 inch, but might be a better option for some...
FWIW Mine had an intermittent issue where the screen kept turning off as if the button was being pushed, sometimes it would do it 5 or 6 times in a few seconds, other times it would go hours between, Lenovo support were pretty good and I think would have swapped the tablet. I took it out of the 3rd party case I had it in (that definitely was not touching any buttons) and put it in a legit lenovo one and it never did it again. weird - but I think something to do with the auto screen on and off when the case is opened - maybe a magnet somewhere? That never worked on the 3rd party one BTW.
seems oos now; shame good deal

My 3rd party case wakes up the screen when the flap is opened so that does sound likely. I've not had any issues with mine, great build quality and performance, just the 16gb could be a little limiting.
Don't buy if you plan to root...
OOS
yep OOS
Have expired the deal... hope someone else found it useful.

Just thought I would leave some feedback on this. Turned up next day to a local drop off point. Packaging was effectively a bag around the original box which initially concerned me. On opening the tablet was indeed in as new condition, had been fully reset and data wiped.

Running Android Nougat 7.1.1. Did a security update OTA and then updated to Oreo 8.1.0.

3 Month warranty in case anything should go wrong - Very happy so far
