Good price.

4GB RAM/64GB storage version also available in black for £179.99.
Finally a decently priced tablet with more than 2gb ram.
Don't forget an extra 6% off via Quidco or just over 3% (+£2.50 bonus if activated) at TCB

Wow this is exceptional! - I paid £160 a couple months ago and am very pleased with performance and build quality, really solidly made and a fairly powerful performer, even the relatively low 16GB ram hasn't been a problem. Thoroughly recommended but get a case as it's a slippery bugger!

I got this case which is a perfect fit for the Tab4Plus (which is different size to Tab4)

Tempted.
What's the difference between the :

Lenovo Tab 4 8 plus - White £129.99

Lenovo Tab 4 8 (WiFi) - Black £169.99

Other than the colour and price? And why does the Black state WIFI and the White doesn't even though they both have WIFI and from looking the specs they are exactly the same?

Confused
Have this tablet; its very good and this is a very good price for it.

Anyone know where the best/cheapest place is to get a decent case and tempered glass screen protector?

16gb ram on a tablet

ram, rom, rim, ron, you know what I mean
as it's storage they should just quote GB like an SSD drive to avoid such confusion or just call it storage, better still call it ram so my original statement doesn't look so stupid.

Woo! Cheers I have so many android games but my 10 inch 1 gb ram tablet struggles to even load them up now. Think this would be perfect, seen on reviews it even emulates dreamcast so if must be on par with the Nvidia k1 tablet ish? Might be worth looking to get a controller to connect up with it. 8 inches sounds perfect for gaming too as 10 is too big to hold for long times

I've got this tablet, as it was the cheapest tablet I could find with a fingerprint reader - which makes a huge difference to practical use if you want reasonable security. The 16Gb RAM is no issue, and I've installed more than 50 apps - just fit an SD card and select the option that allows certain apps to be moved there.
Nice one. Been umming and ahing between this and the Lenovo P8. The sticking point was the ~£70 difference in price vs. build, warranty etc. At £129 this splits the difference nicely so is a no-brainer. Ordered!

I was looking for the k1 for a while as I love my shield tv but it's always on for ridiculous prices nowadays
Great deal, thanks for posting!!! This is going to go red hot

Same tab, Only the white version it's on offer.

There is a difference in the processor, the £129 one has a Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8053 Processor ( 2.00GHz), the £179 with WiFi at the end has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625
64-bit Octa-Core processor. unless I'm completely wrong and tell me if I am, the white tablet has a less powerful processor than the black tab 4 8 plus WiFi version. So the op description of the processor is incorrect. However, the APQ8053 may be a good processor, I don't know.
I'm on my 2nd one of these and after I finish my exams it's going back for a replacement. First one, screen died on me and this one will not remember settings between reboots and the GPS doesn't work.

Not super sold on the QC...
Very tempted to buy it
Must resist

That's the same processor just a different name I think.. .

It's listed as the apq8053 on both the black and white tablet

I think you are right. I wish they'd just say Snapdragon 625 on all the models. Thanks for confirming.

I sold my K1 after picking one of these up in January - this is more compact and I'm not noticing slowdowns whilst using it (unlike with the K1)

For the most part an SD card does solve the limited available space, but there are many apps which can only use an SD card if set up as Adoptable Storage, and some that will only use an SD card when it isn't set up as Adoptable Storage (found this out the hard way with a combination of apps). You can however get the best of both worlds and use part of your SD card as Adoptable Storage and the rest as Portable Storage with this tool on XDA Developers - I've used it (well, the method behind it anyway) to solve my space issues.

great post and good info thank you so much.
As for the deal - heated
what do people used these for?
Thanks ordered the 10 version for my mum. Recently got her 2018 ipad but she prefers Android.

It's usually the other round with older people but I guess she finds android simpler to use because of the navigation buttons

Great deal! Hot.
Anyone play fm 2018 on this ? If so whats performance like?
Why do people persist in using "ROM" to describe storage space?

ROM - Read-Only Memory, i.e. the contents can only be read, not modified. Totally different thing to storage.

With the fingerprint ID you can use various banking apps very easily. It also allows easier use of apps such as Evernote which is invaluable for assembling web pages, pdfs and other notes. Password management apps like roboform are also far easier to use.

Aside from that the bundled MS Office is excellent - and there's the built in Alexa which gives you semi-mobile Amazon echo features - e.g. use Alexa in the garden.
