£100 off this tablet, only released about a month or two. Seems to be included in a price match promotion, but I can't find against who...

Highlights: 3GB RAM, 1920x1200 screen, pretty much stock Android, good battery life.

A good review -

Thin and lightweight, Lenovo's newest tablet has a premium look and feel. It's powered by Android Nougat operating system to deliver speed and efficiency and fitted with a fingerprint sensor for speedy access. The 8MP auto-focus main camera and 5MP front-facing camera allow you to capture your magic moments when you're out and about.

Protective glass
The Tab 4 has a double layer of protective glass on the front and back to offer full protection from scratches and bumps, as well as add an elegant finishing-touch.

Stay entertained
Its Full HD (1920 x 1200) display guarantees your favourite shows will look sharp and vibrant. Boasting built-in, dual-stereo, front-facing speakers to provide powerful audio when you're watching movies or listening to music.

From all sides
The Tab 4 uses In-Plane Switching technology to allow you to view the screen from any angle and still enjoy a sharp image, so you can make full use of the hang, hold, stand and tilt positions.

Fingerprint sensor
The built-in fingerprint sensor is a high-end feature to quickly unlock the tablet and a safe alternative to passwords while your doing online payments.

Thanks for posting. I'm really torn between getting this or keeping my Nvidia shield k1 tablet.

For gaming and general media consumption, do any members here feel that this is worthwhile upgrade to the k1 tablet ?

I've done some initial research and feel gaming would still be better on k1 but keen to get some feedback. Size is important for me as of travelling so wouldn't plan to get larger than this or k1 tablet. Gaming - Albion online and some medium/high graphic intense games ideally.

Thanks!
Karim
16gb tom?, Bit mean nowadays.
Got an older Lenovo which as been good. Like the look of these. For this spec though would want at least 32GB (preferably 64)
16GB useless if you want to put a lot of apps on or download BBC iplayer content
Be interesting to see whether they update this to Oreo. Decent price considering how new it is but 16GB is proper stingy on the memory front, at least you can add a memory card!
Does anywhere have it for this price in black? White is an awful colour for tech imo

Here's a video that focuses on gaming. Seems like it performs well, but it's more aimed at business and media use, there's definitely not a gaming chipset inside. Depends on how well your K1 fares now with similar games I guess? Perhaps the video will help anyway...

As for the comments on storage - agreed, 32GB would be far more acceptable but there's a micro SD slot that'll take up to 128GB available, that should cover storage requirements for some time.

Given what else is around for this price though this is a superb price, especially as it's still £299 almost everywhere else. Although who knows if there'll be some bank holiday deals over the next couple of days!
How does it compare to this one?

amazon.co.uk/CHU…let

It's fulfilled by Amazon so there is no issues with warranty etc
If I needed a new tablet tomorrow, I'd be all over this.

3GB RAM, FHD screen, FP scanner and Android 7. What's not to like?

Hot Hot Hot.

I have the previous model. However much you try to move things to SD it tends to move them back to internal. Internal 88% full, 32gb SD hardly used except for media.
Only thing that annoys the heck out of me about Lenovo is that they don't update their devices after a year of release so you end up being stuck on an old OS for the rest of eternity.

Unlock bootloader, install twrp, flash ROM

Problem solved

Got one of them, had it for a while. It's ok overall, the speaker is terrible though, very tinny. Get about 4 hours screen on time, doesn't charge particularly fast though.
Been looking at this tab for a couple of weeks, thing that puts me off is the 16gb storage, which will equate to approx 12gb available, way too low! Also, no hdmi port.

True, no HDMI - but you can use one of these to overcome that. Then the problem becomes you can't charge and watch at the same time etc... Never ending cycle! Nothing's perfect

Actually, ignore that, I then found this that might solve that particular problem too!

I've been looking at these for a while, really wanted a black one, but at a £100 cheaper I've ordered a white one.
Thanks hollger
Been struggling with find a reasonably priced tablet for my needs for a while now, saw this before and at £300 definitely wasn't happening, but perfect and a no brainer at this price!
Was considering the Tab A 10.1", but this seems a bargain!
