Not sure why this has been voted cold with no one having either the courtesy, justification or the courage to comment. Is this no good generally or can it be found cheaper?
I'm voting this hot, it can't be had cheaper anywhere else at the moment as far as I'm aware.

I think it's just the fact it's been cheaper over the last month or so but there's no use reminiscing on things that aren't available anymore.

I actually found a new white one on argos eBay last week for 154 but they only had one so I obviously didn't post it here, I thought they might come down in price again but this is the least I've seen since.
Voted hot but for info, the 10" version of this is £20 more at Currys or £30 more at Argos if you prefer the bigger screen. (I picked one up from Argos earlier today).

There's also a £10 voucher for future Argos spend as over £100.
Does this support Netflix HD? Netflix looks crummy on my Lenovo Tab 3 8 850, whereas Prime looks pretty good and I'd like a better HD tablet.
Eyeing this to replace my 2013 Nexus. Another £20 off and I'd bite...
still using the S8 model from about 2015 and it still performs really well. This is a logical upgrade from that so getting quite interested at this price

Hot
Brought this a month ago. Brilliant tablet

Get a Lenovo P8. Decent specs and Lenovo build for a hundred. Goes below £100 sometimes, even.

Thanks, looks interesting!
Great tablet for the money,I got this the other month and I am well impressed with it.
Only downside that I have heard is that Lenovo do not do frequent software upgrades.
Is it much better than the Amazon Fire tablets? I'm not very tech savvy!
Bought this to replace my duff Google Tablet, very impressed with it but be warned the 16Gbytes is eaten up by 7Gbytes of system files so you'll need at memory card sharpish. Netflix HD works fine on it.
Impressed with the one I bought a few months ago as an alternative screen for use with dji mavic pro rather me using my older smartphone. I've had loads of updates too which caused some issues ie WiFi and random ghost actions although this appears to be sorted now. Recommended. Ps plays pubg mobile quite well too.

No it doesn't, it has Widevine level 1 but it's not on Netflix's whitelist. You can use a modified app to bypass this though but obviously it's not official and might not work forever.

Prime video isn't supported in hd either. There's no modded app for that one unfortunately.

£100 from China, so the possibility of import charges. And potential issues with warranty support. Unless I missed something(!)
But, yes, the P8 does look very good for the money.

Which is correct? I've read quite a few comments on forums now that say it doesn't support Netflix HD for the reason Andy4Shurr gives i.e. it's not Netflix approved.

My bad, thought I was getting HD on the tablet but just fired up a film and no it is not, so ignore my earlier comment.

Thanks for pointing out, almost forgot to mention. Your safeguard lies in the form of credit card chargebacks. I purchase items of around this value from Gearbest (where I got mine) frequently, never been charged import taxes and duties before. Feel free to PM if any advice is needed.

Check later comments in the thread. I forgot to mention that for a P8 you'll have to source from overseas companies, so try to use a credit card in case of any warranty claim. Also potentially import taxes and duties.

Still has that S8-50 too but in pieces as tried replaced touchscreen and even break lcd Bought that new version Tab 4 Plus on Xmass from Currys 149.99 and is very good. Don't know about Netflix as not using. But Kodi run as a dream

Thanks. Trying to decide if the slightly nicer design, slightly bigger battery and UK warranty/retailer is worth the higher price. I've bought a few things from Gearbest but a P8 would be the most expensive so far. Decisions....
I have this tablet and can recommend it; a bonus is that the finger print reader works well.
I have the standard version, and very pleased with it

Totally agree Kizzy. Great tablet on Paper but Lenovo's lack of updates kill it for me. Even Huawei are better regarding updates these days. That's why I went for the Mediapad M3, (£142 open box in the USA.)

Argos offer a £10 voucher on future purchases with this. That beats a saving of 1p imho.
Strange I seem to have an update everytime I switch it on! lol
the Huawei equivalent has more memory for £10 less.

I have the 10" version of this... and the graphics are pretty poor imo. For the price I would expect a lot better. If you are going to use for gaming dont bother, other than tha decent tablet.
Oh... and apart from that, because of the glass back you will NEED a case for it, as it slides off of everything!

Thanks for the info. Why the hell would anyone put a glass back on a tablet. Or a phone for that matter!
I still prefer the Lenovo somewhat as the Huawei isn't symmetrical when in landscape mode (I use tablets almost exclusively for watching movies).

Thanks, but Amazon says that the Huawei has the same amount of memory although it does have more storage - 3Gb / 32Gb.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
P8 is down to £93.50 on Gearbest for the next day.

Swithering over it and this one as well as the Huawei M3. Lack of Netflix HD and Amazon Video HD is a biggy, That's one of my main uses for a tablet. Obvs there's ways around the issue (for Netflix anyway) but the lack of willingness on Lenovo/Huawei's part to solve it is a worry.
