Sadly No.

Over 100 grams lighter than the Hudl 2

got one from pc world today. Using £10 off on O2 priority moments came to £119.99. Now with £20 cashback will be £99.99. Heat all the way from me:D

Recently bought a Lenovo tablet, albeit a different one, I'll have to hope I've overlooked the cashback and can find it now... Any tip appreciated!

I bought this at Christmas, well in fact 2 of them for my boys.

All good except for the poor battery

Nice tablet. Looks like a large Lumia phone

Not a massive fan of the tablet myself. Battery life is poor, and there's lots of bugs in the software, like blasting out the closing down music at full volume when you turn it off.

Aren't there any updates that fix these bugs? I have ordered one but after reading your comment I am a bit concerned. How much have u used this tablet? overall how would you rate this?

could anyone recommend a good screen protector and a case for this tablet please preferably a keyboard case ?

Battery is mince.

Decent apart from that.

do they still add lots of custom software?

Browsing is fine, streaming we get about 5 hours and some apps drain in 2

this one or dell 8" £70

Looks like a really nice tablet, pity about all the battery issues.

Original Poster

I think the battery issue could be due to high screen resolution

Higher screen resolution and lower battery power, its about 25% less than the HUDL2

A lot of battery discussion here:

Pretty sure they fixed this in an update recently (not 100% sure as I haven't used it in a while).

this is a fantastic tablet, don't know why people moan about the battery, i've had one for 2 months now and the battery is fantastic, I gave up my 2nd gen nexus 7 to my daughter so i could use this instead, screen is fantastic, tablet is nice and light and it is also very quick, if you didn't know the price you would think it would be around the £300 mark. Can't recommend this tablet enough

I've had one of these since before xmas and love it because of the hi res screen and the fact that it has a micro-SD card slot. I couldn't really find anything that came close for the price. The battery life isn't so bad - probably get 6h out of it for watching videos and can always be extended by a powerbank on long journeys. Lack of HDMI partially compensated by chromecast
Regarding the start-up and shut-down sound, I haven't had that problem in months - not sure if it was a fix or if it was a setting that I changed

Got mines today, Absolute bargain, very hard to find this quality at this kind of price.

Compared it to old Tegra 4 nvidia shield and the Lenovo seems faster, mainly thanks to the 2GB RAM.

The tablet itself is pretty good. There are updates that fixed some of the bugs, but not all. I get around 3-4 hours out of it. When it works, it works really well for the cost, and I'm happy with it. When it doesn't, it's annoying and is quite sloppy work at times (like the aformentioned turn off sound bug). Overall I'd give it a 7/10. Great hardware and speedy tablet, when it works.

I've read that there is an auto-brightness setting that can't be turned off, possibly controlled by the Intel chip. Anyone notice this?

Yeah, there's auto brightness, and that's one of the more annoying things as it doesn't work properly half the time.

Latest is 4.4, no lollipop yet. I don't know whether it's going to be on the tablet or not.

Gonna get one of these at the weekend. Looks sooo nice.
Any custom ROMS? If not I'll just have to put a launcher on it.

got mine delivered today finallyy have to say Its better than I expected. the sound is good screen is amazing viewing angles amazing. very responsive just bloated with loss of app apart from that very happy. also the screen is bright enough that I only keep the brightness at 10-20% so should save loads of battery.

This is £149.95 before cashback so only £129.95 after not £110, cold!

When I picked up the tablet I didn't get a receipt. Is the invoice the order confirmation I recieved by email when I paid for it?
