Android 5.0 ?!

I was thinking about one of these for the kid but you need Android 7.0 to use the Family Link software
cheap for a reason..............very little memory
get a fire tablet had both of these and fire tablet wins handsdown
had this and its pants, so slow.
Bought this a week back, mine has random digitizer problems. So be warned
Dont bother, its very slow.
Cheap for a reason.
Any suggestions for a tablet that will be a decent replacement for an old Hudl 2?

All the ones I'm seeing are either 7 or 10 inch (either noticeably smaller, or much too big for this user) and the screen res is lower.

Edit: Huld 2 was 8.3 inch screen with 1920 x 1200 real HD.

I've got one and use it for dodgy apk movie apps and such like. 8gb is not a lot of space though but it is ok for some people. Ok as a second tablet.

I had one of these and i returned it to Argos, it was very slow, got very hot on the back even with none power hungry apps, the main problem was the battery, it would show say 30% then at the blink of an eye go down to 5%.

Not good, i would avoid
Not that it's a good tablet, but a good price for it is £30 rather than £50!

I'm in the same boat. My shortlist is currently:
Lenovo Tab 4 Plus FHD 8"16GB Tablet (£154 @ Argos) - 1920x1200 and 3Gb RAM
Lenovo Tab 4 8 (£100 @ Currys) - 1200x800 and 2Gb
Huawei MediaPad M3 8" Lite (£150 @ Amazon)- 1920×1200 and 3Gb

Root is important to me (so ad blockers can be installed) - sounds like the Lenovos are easier to root than the Huawei

Edit: and there's the Lenovo P8 (which is the same as a Tab 3 Plus) but only available from China I think.

I also have this, unfortunately did not return it within the cooling off period and stuck with a tablet that's so slow it's unreal. You press an icon and wait, wait, wait for anything to happen. Web browsing is next to impossible, it takes 30-60 seconds just to render the window (not the whole page!) in Chrome. I now use it exclusively as a viewer for the baby monitor. As a tablet, it's unusable.
