1024x600, 1GB...ye gods. It's 2018! Those are worst specs than my old 2012 Nexus 7.

Still good price, so thanks for posting.
1GB RAM before anyone says it.

8gb no good
... My. Mum has this for basic browsing its always moaning about no memory...
worth getting the 8 inch IMHO, 1280 x 800 screen and 2GB RAM, with obviously an extra inch
Grabbed one of these for £35-40 as argos referb to use a sat nav in my car. (wifi hot spot from my phone) I only run Google maps or a digital/Internet radio on it and it really struggles. Been looking for an upgrade with more RAM
Terrible tablet, honestly do not waste your money!
No good for apps !
Nope
Near-identical specs to an Amazon Fire 7. I installed a vanilla Android OS on my Fire 7 and use it for surfing the net, watching Youtube and checking Twitter all the time, no problems.

It helps to choose a browser with a tiny RAM footprint: I use the Rocket browser, which is built on Lightning.

Is this better than my Hudl 2?
Great for kids and youtube kids. nice one op.
Stuck on Android 5 and no sign of an update, as usual for Lenovo products.
If you don't care about security and stuff, then this is a reasonable price for a web browser.

Extraordinarily s**t lol. Heat though for the price
I've had 2 faulty ones so far and ended up getting refunded, exactly the same has happened to a friend 🤐

Extraordinarily cheap, in more than one way. Avoid like the plague. Unless you really need a bad tablet for less than 50 quid.

No, it is quite a bit worse.
This was posted earlier at £29.99 as pricing error, people still hated it. Not voting either way.

So everyone here must've voted cold or not voted.... So how the hell is this 2014 tablet so 'hot'! Lol

Yep had two of these and both had the same issue where the battery would suddenly die. Also the Argos store I took it back to wouldn't take it back at first!! Got there in the end though..
Bought one about a year ago for about a tenner less. Wouldn't recommend it at all.
I'd rather get a fire 7 if I had a budget
Rubbish tablet. Got the 8" version . The screen response is dreadful. Don't both

No. Still got a Hudl 2 and the screen is far more responsive when playing apps etc

You'd be better off get the Asus Z380M if PCworld / currys reduce it down to £79.99 again

Any information on how to bring the hudl2 up to date/ flash it/ do something techie so it runs current version of android?
I'm looking for a tablet for car nagivation, so I'm thinking all I need is good specs so it doesn't lag, 4g sim card slot. Anybody have good recomendations? Trying to find a really good deal.

Specs on these tablets constantly being offered is lower than what my phone was being sold 5 years ago..
My dad got one of these yesterday ignoring my advice.
What a load of junk.
Really slow to load anything, screen is not very responsive, quality of screen is very poor and it just feels like a cheap plastic toy (which it is!)
The 8GB is fine due to sim card slot, but the 1GB ram really shows.
Its only £49.99 but damm, how many corners can you cut.

Took it back earlier today.

If you want a cheap decentish tablet, just go onto CeX/EbaY or something and buy a Nexus 7 2013 edition for like £65 or some other similar speced tablet. Make sure it has 2GB ram and a quad core. Just don't expect the world.
