If you go through Vouchercodes and spend over £100, you can get a £20 Currys PC World voucher.
I would suggest adding this to your order to take you over the threshold....

Looking to buy one of these for annotating PDFs, it looks like quite a nice tablet for the money, plus it runs Android Nougat with Oreo expected to be available soon. Argos have their spend £50/£100 get £5/£10 voucher offer on, plus if you buy using their store card you can get 6 months interest free credit.

If you want a tablet for gaming, I'd recommend going for the Lenovo Tab 4 Plus which has a faster CPU, higher resolution screen, MicroSD expansion slot and USB Type C connector, but it is significantly dearer at £169.99.

I bought a Tab 4 8 yesterday and from the brief time I've spent with it so far it does seem to be ideal for what I need. I want to use XODO PDF to annotate and highlight PDF files as this is available on all platforms and is not restricted to a closed cloud system (I use it with Google Drive), it also has the advantage of being completely free for personal users. I too considered the Amazon fire, mainly due to it's slightly lower price, however for that you get less RAM, a slower processor plus you're locked into a proprietary operating system. I also read that users were having trouble getting XODO to work on the Fire tablets.

The Tab 4 has obviously been paired down in places - it has not Micro SD slot, there is no proximity sensor for adaptive back-light adjustment and probably other superfluous sensors found in high-end devices are excluded. The cameras are also mediocre although will be fine for things such as video calls. It also only has a USB 2 port for charging which does make it a bit slow to charge, but the battery life does seem excellent, especially if you have the back-light turned down as is preferable for reading.

That said, the screen is brilliant and perfect for my purpose, the device is slim, light and responsive and, most importantly for me, it slips comfortably inside my jacket pocket. Just waiting for a case to arrive from Amazon today.
Does the Tab4 8 have an sd card slot?

Some reviews state yes under the lenovo label on the side of the tablet

PC world says no

can anyone who has just bought one of these conform one way or the other?

thanks
The Lenovo and Argos description say it has an sd slot, be strange if it didn't. Shame its only single band wifi.
