One of the cheaper thinkpads but still build like a brick.
Hmmm no touch screen and lowish resolution but generally looks ok
For 699 it's a deal
Is it 4gb*2 or 1*8gb RAM? Would be interested if it's easy to upgrade to 16gb
Might be the full HD led ips screen but the colours are awful, no better than a crap tu screen. Just seen the figures on a review

This seems pretty basic for £699. It’s an 8th gen quad-core, 256GB SSD (fairly standard now), 8GB RAM (standard), full HD (expected as a minimum at this price), plastic build, there’s nothing really important or standout at this price. You’d expect a more premium build or discrete GPU at least.

What's the red ting in the middle of the keyboard

Self-destruct button, really useful when u pay crazy money for this piece of garbage thats not worth even 400...

It controls the mouse.
That's a LOT of money for a last gen chip that doesn't even have any graphics...Thinks are good laptops but the price has to be value and this just isn't quite there...Once it hits 550-570 it will be...and 141PPi is worse than terrible.

An i7 but no dedicated graphics?

An i7 but no dedicated graphics?

It’s one of the U series so kind of understandable but this isn’t much of a deal all the same. The spec is ‘good’ and what most people will want but £699 is not as there’s nothing exciting or unique about this machine. It’s very middle of the road.

In comparison, for £676 the other day you could get a Dell G3 with Core i7-9750H 6-core and GTX 1650 graphics - that was definitely worth the money!

It went ages ago. Just search ‘Dell G3’ in the search bar earlier this month.
