Shame the ram can't be upgraded.

Good for the price but limited upgradability means longevity may be compromised.

Funnily enough, it too, baffles the hell out of me, that 'habit' of soldering their RAM chips into the RAM slots, etc :-(

    What for? :-(

    Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Good to know also - thanks. I'm hoping (expecting) ITZOO to give out a Christmas 20% ish code over the next few days, based on last year. 10th Dec was the date released last year.

May hold out for a code for this. 24gb memory sounds high.

that means it has 8GB soldered and a 16GB module (these only cost 25 quid nowadays so not really a huge upgrade)

imho vs a 2018 model laptop that's 4 processor gens and 2 huge spec bumps old, I'd buy an Intel 12th gen CPU model for just a bit more money, or 11th gen 2021 model for this price

This Vs ThinkPad T480 refurbished for similar price please? Thanks

Surprisingly little in it CPU wise, Comes down to used but both storage and ram can be easilly upgraded, versus new but limited upgrades. Also the T series are built like tanks whereas this is probably not quite so rugged. (edited)

here come the it's only 8gb ram comments... The fact is, it's a £300 laptop and for 99% of people 8gb is absolutely fine.
Despite that fact, the relentless comments have put me off too come on 16gb! 🔥

The i3 dual core is a bigger long-term issue than the 8GB imo. 8GB RAM is fine at this price point.

Just noticed the listing incorrectly starts 1135g4 instead of 1115g4. Not that it means much to myself

Meh, I picked up an Asus Zenbook 14X OLED with 14" 2.8K OLED panel, i5-1135G7, 8GB RAM, and 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD for 330 (amazon warehouse - used like new - came brand new with some box damage)

Don't asus having cooling issues with their laptops?

Or has that been resolved now, or something?

    Thanx
