welcome to hot deals

i dunno is it? thats the idea of the site lol

very steep but ibm are the audi of computing

I know a lot of people may vote this cold because of the specs against price but remember Lenovo make QUALITY laptops! I have a had a few laptops (and used a few others) and the Lenovo is by far the most reliable laptop I have ever owned. If i was looking for a quality laptop its certainly the one I would buy! Maybe not the best bang for buck, or the best looking, but you get what you pay for with Lenovo in my opinion.

Thinkpad are a VERY good brand and very intuitive - my Dad has one and it works well.

But as for style - very bulky and not good to look at.

And for that price it isn't good value for money.

Can't you get a quad core for near this price?

Ehhh...No, not in a laptop.

Quality brand, Thinkpads were IBM, Lenovo bought the brand name and continued to make them and now do their own designs and range. I currently have a lightweight titanium Z60t. Bit of a strange one this SL model though, quite big and heavy for a business machine. Thinkpads tend to have screens lacking in brightness, matt finish, good for documents but not so good for pictures or video. This model is obviously at the cheaper end, good price for a Thinkpad but not quite sure which bracket it fits in as you can get more bang for buck for the home market.

Well still. You could get better specs for this price though.

Lenovo's are revered by 'tour of duty' contractors and consultants everywhere - not the best looking but absolutely bullet proof. What a great price for such a laptop.

True, the contractors attached to our unit in the gulf had Lenovo's.

The only thing tougher and more bulletproof than them were our Panasonic Toughbooks, and they are waaaaaaay more expensive!!!!!:-D
