Good machine but real shame about the battery life only 3 hours, which probably only means 2.5 in the real world.

even less i guess first 2 months will be about 2.5, later less....

Neo Processor is a bit let down. It is the same as Atom processor but it uses more power. That's why the battery lasts only 2-3 hr.

Not actually true. The NEO is a much more capable processor than the ATOM N270 which is found in most netbooks. Ok, it can run a little warmer, but this can be reduced dramtically with a bit of simple undervolting.

The compromise in ultra portablea is always the same story : more power = less battery life.

Here are the benchmarks for both CPU's.

Neo

Nice price BTW.

Yes, but not everyone wants a fill sized laptop! This is for a specific purpose - it's a very small, so highly portable, business machine with a decent size screen and (apparently) the best keyboard in the business. So if you need to do serious word processing on the go this could be just what you need.

Don't vote cold 'cos you don't want the PC! It's the deal you should vote for. This is the best price for this PC by a long way at the moment. More people notice a hot deal so more people who could use one of these will benefit.

I agree, so I wont vote. But it is a bit pricy for my taste. For this money I would want more battery life and an optical drive.

Fair enough, but still, it's all about the deal. This website is 'hotukdeals' not 'DoYouLikeThisItem' ;-)

For this money

Respect to the Doctor !
I would consider a comparison between MV40 and Celeron M 743 more relevant

Thinkpads are best laptops imho. good deal

Is it a laptop, is it a netbook, netbooks really need good battery life and to be light. This is quite large and the battery life isnt brilliant. As a laptop, the screen size is rather small, might even say very small. No included DVD, though if you bought one from the recent O2 deal for £17, you should be laughing.
Thinkpads were laptops in the early days, but you paid through the nose.
Undecided, chalk and cheese.

unfortunately this is missing an HDMI output...
