I knew I'd commented on this before somewhere (I would advise reading both threads before buying, so you're informed) hotukdeals.com/dea…995

As long as you know what you're buying. They've cropped and Photoshopped the original images (below). But, they do supply an AC Adaptor (not sure if it's original Lenovo)

At that kind of damage I would hardly call them refurbished. Refurbished to me is damage repaired, cleaned well, clearly used, but works fine. That machine photographed is just damaged.

Pay your money and cross your fingers for the lottery as has been stated before.

Thanks op I orderd this and lets wait and see ....
These are robust machines. I have one I’m about to sell after 2 years of light use and it still looks and works like new.
I have one of these and it's not without a couple of issues: only one RAM slot so you're restricted to single-channel and the 768p matte screen is the worst I've ever used (I swapped it for 1080p IPS but that cost me the ability to change the brightness).

Yeah, it's definitely been used as a stepladder or a frisbee "Worst case scenario" was what one of the previous posters said. Must admit I haven't bought one but worthwhile reading earlier threads to read others' experiences.

They're only using three of those five original "badly damaged" images now, and they now are cropped/backgrounds removed.

Also, it was alleged they're scupulous about deleting Negative or Neutral Feedback. Again, I can't offer personal experience.

Yeah, last time I had one of these from newandusedlaptops4u minor blemished display was this:
39013338-OtqRm.jpg
The rest of the machine wasn't much cop either, with one being DOA and both heavily worn and both having third-party featherweight PSUs that I wouldn't ever want to leave plugged in or highly-loaded. The Lenovo X250 is a good machine otherwise but it depends what you get delivered...

I just rebuilt a ThinkPad X60 the other day, loved the keyboards on those. I got a ThinkPad P50 from ITZOO the other day and it's one of the better built modern ThinkPads, the chassis is super stiff and it has a touchpad with proper buttons!

I'm sure more capable IT experts probably could, but I couldn't find the original cached page - maybe it's not available anywhere. But we have old HUKD discussion threads.

The clincher is what people actually receive.

Probably want £150 after postage and any fees etc.
Loving that coffee mug ringmark on the palmrest. Obviously quite convinced there is no chance of water ingess. Older Thinkpads had a drainage system for accidental spillages but I don't think these recent models are quite as robust.

Still, if you fancy a punt.

If you click on the right arrow by the pictures, images 10-12 are the ones (hidden as eBay only shows the first 6 with their useless UI) with what you might receive:

That top lid reminds me of my grandma’s chopping board. What exactly refurbished means in this case?
I have a Thinkpad E130 that is in much worse conditions than this one (incidentally bought from this ebay seller), yet it still does the job and it refuses to die. God knows how many times I dropped it (not deliberately though) and it still works. Old Thinkpads can be manhandled and still do a great job.
That screen res. Just no. 900p would be acceptable, but not 768p. This is barely a deal imho.

Business ex-lease where people/users just don't give a **** because it's not theirs, totally disrespectful but nevermind. My missus is like that, she got a brand new Dell Latitude 5490 from work and does things I would never do; like eating near it and not washing her hands before using it again. I have noticed the high-end laptops (e.g. Dell Precisions and Lenovo P series) do typically come back from lease in very good condition, I guess because of the environment they're used in.

Ah now that’s a different issue... If you must know, I actually only mentioned it as I’m vouching to how good these laptops are. Didn’t realise people would get upset...
