Pretty sure the X60 is a Core Duo not Core 2 Duo cpu.

Just did some top level research online and the concensus is that this is a Core Duo T2400 @ 1.83ghz.

You may find that if these do not sell today/this week they may go down in price tomorrow..as did the X61...just a thought

Why would you spend £38 more on 20Gb of HDD space than this deal?

2 reasons:
1. dual core cpu
2. your deal has sold out.

Are these people trustworthy ? (I have used tierone-online in the past)

Apparently they are the refurb arm of SCC Computers which are up there in the corporate arena with Computacenter.

I wouldn't have any worries dealing with them personally.

So does this mean the listing for this at their website stating core 2 duo for £108 is wrong?

Probably. They both say ThinkPad X60 1707 so probably have the same CPU.

What is the condition of these likely to be like?

Mine was very good with just a couple of scratches on the lid - some of the others complained about the condition of theirs - some had an inferior model shipped to them.

Just for information the T 2400 processors although are core duo but have 32bit instruction set on the processor. In simple terms a 64bit os will not work with this processor. Just in case you are thinking along those lines.

is there any warranty on these? couldn't see anything on their website

ordered one, thanks for posting needed something this size
also they only listed 20 on ebay and 12 are sold as of now
make that 13 sold...

I use one of these for work, never had a problem.

Would it be better to by one of these or an iPad3 ;-)

I have one of these. Not bought in this deal. But I love mine to bits. Perfect size and design and functionality. I'd buy one at this price. Might be a bit slow for some people though. I only use mine for browsing the net or watching films.

True - but are the sort of people buying this laptop - which must be what, 8 years old by now? - really majorly concerned with power?

No idea, I was just pointing out the difference; 1.66 single core versus 1.8 dual core.

Ah fair enough. Come to think of it, I'm sure the sort of people buying 7-8 year old laptops aren't too knowledgeable about stuff like that, so probably for the best that you pointed it out!

These use a T5600 Core 2 Duo, not a T2400 Core Duo as suggested by someone else.
