For those not lucky enough to grab one of the recent Currys bargains this seems like a pretty good deal for an Intel i5 laptop.

  • Intel Core i5-7200U 2.5GHz
  • 4GB RAM + 128GB SSD
  • 15.6" Display + DVD Writer
  • Webcam + Bluetooth
  • Windows 10 Home 64bit

Impressed because of the SSD ? or i5-7200U ?
Sorry, but this is normal price for that all of specs, including old fashioned:

DIsplay
  • Resolution: 1366 x 768
  • 0.3MP Camera

Graphics

  • Intel HD

ignore the guy above - this isn't normal specs' for a 7000 series i5 with huge SSD. If it is, let's see where they all are.

The 4GB of RAM make me say no. And the screen res.

1366x768, horrid pixelated mess.

Cold

It's a good spec for the price.

However, I've just returned a similar model at work (the same specs, but with a 500GB mechanical, non-SSD drive) and it was one of the worst laptops I've ever used!

The 4GB of RAM is definitely not enough for someone using let's say some MS Office products and a browser or 2 open.

Constantly freezing, although I think this was related to the slowness of the hard drive and the lack of RAM.

Possibly worth it if you factor in some RAM, although, it's heavy with a 2 hour battery life, poor in this day and age!

Resolution was crap, especially on such a large screen!

I've just this laptop and so far no issues noted other than a terrible speaker that is underneath and appears to be mono. The SSD makes for 10 sec boots and 4gb ram is fine for daily tasks. Screen is ok.
