Great option, thanks!

Saw that, and voted it up based on the specs & price. Posted this as it has an DVDRW, which the other doesn't.
Not terrible spec at all... sure the CPU isn't the latest which often upsets some people although it's plenty good enough, decent sized SSD, ram and full HD.

It's ok. It's just that the same money (or a bit less) will buy you the same spec laptop with a Ryzen 5 quad-core which will run rings around this. At £400 I'd be looking for an Intel i5 8th gen at least really and there have been plenty around before.

Like this one, but it's a bit more:

The one I linked was the same Lenovo V130 but with the Intel Core i5 8th gen quad-core, so about £40 more for tons more performance. But if you're not dead set on an Intel machine, the AMD equivalent is a better buy (imo).

If you can't find the Ryzen 5 2500U any more then the newer V155 is the same price with the 3500U:

To be honest, that Acer was and still is the best deal I've seen in a long time in this highly-competitive sub-£400 tier.

@plewis00 Thank you
7th gen too regressive now compared to 8.
Spend your £400 on a better deal.
