About this deal

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

Use code NEW15, ends tonight.
You also have an option for the 5700U to go with 8GB ram or 12. I think the 5700U with a 16GB ram is a winner here.

Cracking little machine, point of note though; the USB-C port does NOT support charging the laptop which means no support for a dock (data only, no displayport over USB-C either!)

great specs and great deal--just screen is 250nits incase it matters to anyone.

nice spec laptop, the screen is awfull though.
you can do a bit of gaming of some older titles on lower settings, its far from a gaming machine though.
    Battery life isnt the best.

Note if you want to add an SSD, they dont include the cable, which isnt the easiest to source (edited)
We bought one over Christmas and the screen is surprisingly good. It's not IPS so the viewing angles aren't great but it's a 14" laptop screen so viewing angles aren't critical. Downsides are it has a cheap and plastic feeling but at less than £400 for a relatively powerful laptop, it's a good buy.

Better off getting the 8gb one and upgrading to 16 if u don't mind the effort

Could this be used for gaming?
read the spec and decide for yourself whether or not it's good for your own gaming needs. if you're truly a gamehead. most of us are not, if you're into gaming you should be tech savvy enough in that sphere, whatever machine specifications u deem fit enough for such purpose. (edited)

Defo a better screen in the HP. About the CPU, I am not 100% sure that the extra money will do much nanoreview.net/en/…00u
    Also, 14 vs 15.6
I never used the touchscreen in my gaming HP tbh...

FYI - Today's JAN10 code works on this, so it works out at £414...
Not as good as this deal but an option, in case anyone missed out
