Lenovo V155 laptop. Not the cheapest it's ever been but compared to other sites its cheaper than a few others. Decent spec for the price I think.

Heres a breakdown of the spec (from their site)

  • AMD Ryzen 3 3200U Processor
  • Massive 8GB Memory
  • Radeon Vega 3 Graphics
  • Optical Drive: DVD-RW
  • 256GB Solid State Drive
  • Windows 10 Home

This would probably make a good laptop for an occasional user but with it being a 256GB SSD it's got much more faster storage than most others at this price.

That’s actually pretty good!

I thought that. I've been looking for one around £350 and most other specs are 128gb SSD's and are £5 or £10 more expensive. Just guess some people might not want Ryzen and they'll pay the extra for an intel processor (that isn't a pentium or celeron)
I bought the Ryzen 5 with Vega 8 for £360 a few weeks back when eBay were doing 20% off. Normal price is 399 from ebuyer.
As a budget laptop, would this be able to do Roblox and minecraft?

Oh so even at £360 id think it was a good deal. But for it to be £330 with free delivery I thought it would be a steal.

For lightweight gaming it will be fine. You might need settings to be lower to improve FPS & gameplay but i'd say it would be good just for like a budget laptop
As with all cheaper Lenovo`s, the display panel will let it down.
TN and not very bright.
Be warned. I bought this a few weeks back for £275 with a good code (sourced from this site). But the laptop was so bad I had to return it. It was super sluggish even before anything had additional had been installed. But the biggest reason for sending it back was the mouse pad was horrendous. The worst I’ve ever encountered (even in comparison to laptops that are 10+ years old)! It was literally not fit for purpose unless you used an external mouse (which defeats the purpose for my needs). In terms of build quality and screen quality I’d say it was ok. But For the price I’d go as far as to say good. But the speed of processing and the usability it was the worst

Modern Ryzen chip, 8GB RAM and an SSD - I don't understand how this could be slow.

What were you using it for?

Videos, music, photos, browsing, office etc.. should be lightning!
I gave it some real light useage. Literally web browsing and running a few online apps. I didn’t even install anything or download anything big. It was so bad I sent it back the same day! It might have been ok after being wiped of all the bloatwate. But to be honest because the mouse pad was so bad I didn’t even think the slowness was the main negative. Even if I was able to speed it up, the usability for me made it a no go
Bloatware

It depends what people want... for laptops around this price I think you're suspect to have some flaws compared to say a higher end Dell or HP. Quite often when I get new laptops i'll remove anything I don't want or make sure that the computer is up-to-date including the drivers. Little things like that could have an impact on performance and after they're installed and rebooted it should be fine. Failing that a fresh install of windows would remove the bloatware. But the specs of the machine make this a better option than some Intel i3 processors for the price range
How would this compare to this? hotukdeals.com/dea…480 I know the HP is more expensive but is it worth the extra £110? I need something for kids to play Minecraft on.

It was definitely this one and not the v145 that's been on here lately?
The 145 is similar in terms of Memory and SSD storage but has a terrible A6 CPU in it.

My pals wife got one of these laptops last week and it's quick and snappy.

Nothing sluggish or slow about it whatsoever, I suspect you must have received a defective unit?
Processor any good?
A 3% price cut for a crap display panel is ------- cold

Wait for BF
