FINAL EDIT: Now out of stock, but this monitor is still available for such a low price direct from a site - hotukdeals.com/dea…227

EDIT EDIT: The deal is now back up for whatever reason!! Actually it's a very slightly different model, from what I can see on Lenovo's site the only difference is that this newly listed one is the "Razer Edition", which has some RGB lighting or something and probably extra Razer branding. Anyway this is a steal for a good G-Sync monitor, very happy with my non-Razer model so far. Go go go!

EDIT: Only lasted 3 hours, may have been an error... The price was £228. I guess I will leave this up for an idea of what kind of deal to look out for on a G-Sync display. Sorry about that all.

Probably the lowest price for a new G-Sync monitor right now, and with a 144Hz VA panel it should be decent quality for that much. Reviews seem to suggest so, the main con at the time was seemingly the high cost, but this seems like a really competetive deal.

I've been looking for a new monitor after switching from an R9 390 to a GTX 1080. I already have a 1080p 75Hz IPS Freesync monitor, so this is a bit of a sidegrade for me. But I really don't want to lose the variable refresh feature so stuff it, I'll give this a go. I would have preferred 1440p at that size, and I don't especially desire a curved screen, but I believe a VA panel should give a better contrast ratio than IPS (which was the biggest disappointment with my current monitor) with comparable colour accuracy.

There is a 0% interest paypal credit option for 24 months, which is nice. And a 30 day refund if something goes wrong.

Hate buying crap on ebay shame really if it was on Amazon I'd get it for my spare rig

Looks great IMO

Yeah it looks decent. I was really looking for a VA panel too, as in very dark games the IPS glow and poor black levels do kinda detract from the experience.

It will arrive on Monday apparently, I will be sure to report back on how good it is

Wait, there's actually a decently priced 27 inch 1440p Gsync monitor that is also curved and a VA panel (Even at £350 from Amazon)Missed out the 1080p part.

Depends on what you using it for.
For gaming, you lose the Gsync feature to a Freesync. Depends whether you use one or the other based on your graphic card. Gysnc for certain Nvidia cards and Freesync for certain AMD cards.

I had viewed the item previously, then just earlier I got an email from eBay saying it had been discounted from £584 to £228. Now obviously that's a silly price cut, £350ish is more of the going price, so still a great deal it seems.

If you have an AMD card that can utilise the freesync on that monitor, go for it.
If you have an Nvidia card that can utilise the G-Sync on OP's link, go for that.

This was actually another monitor I was looking at, probably uses the same panel. There is a 24 inch version for a similar price as the Lenovo, which might make more sense for the 1080p resolution, but less sense for a curved monitor. Considering the usual price hike for G-Sync though the Lenovo seems like the best deal (assuming you have an Nvidia GPU). If I hadn't bought this I would probably keep my R9 390 in my system and switch to it when playing something that really benefits from variable refresh, such as Overwatch.

I really wish I had an Nvidia card, then I'd be all over this. Seems like a steal, great find btw OP.

Uh oh, the price literally just increased to £363!!

Damn I'm sorry about that, guess it only lasted 3 hours or was a listing error... I will edit this now.

Thanks Ollie,
Do I need Gsync or freesync ?
Does xbox support 144hz?
And also does it matter if monitor supports
2560x1440 , would I notice a difference.

Many thanks for your help

Xbox doesn't support any of that, if you want those things get yourself a gaming PC. You could upgrade to the One X for FreeSync but I don't really think that's worth it, given it still can't play AAA games at 4K properly.

Thanks again Ollie
So just a bog standard 1080p monitor,
Is what I need.
Strange though, when I put it on my big 4k samsung tv it comes up 2560x1440 or something to that figure.

Would be great if you could reply please,
hopefully purchasing this afternoon on eBay or amazon.

Cheers.

I mean technically the S and the X can output at 4K, which makes it even more weird why it's running at 1440p!

I say output at 4K, because neither really have the power to output at native 4K, instead they upscale to 4K.

That's misleading and unfair to xbox owners,
I wouldn't have purchased if I knew.
Typically ripping you off again.
I would like a PC
But there we go ,
So do I just get a 28" normal tv?

Thanks again

Well, It arrived earlier, just got it set up. Brand new with seals on the box, no issues with pixels or anything. I'm actually very impressed, looks a fair bit better IMO than my previous IPS screen. Maybe the colours are very slightly muted in comparison, but the balance and accuracy seems better, and the contrast is great, nice improvement.

144Hz is certainly a pretty cool thing, tried a bit of practice in Overwatch and yeah, amazingly smooth. No real pixel response blur that I can discern in normal use, very useable for some high-speed gaming. Brightness has a great range, not too harsh on the eyes at all, which is impressive considering I've moved up from 23 to 27 inches and it seems rather massive on my desk! Probably not ideal resolution for this size, but at least mostly everything will run near the refresh rate for me.

If you can find another great deal on this monitor then I can highly recommend it. (After 1 1/2 hours use.

Glad to hear it's good. Looking forward to getting mine!
Actually surprised they honoured it to be honest I thought they would cancel

Nice, I thnk you will enjoy it Played some Doom last night and it was an absolute mind melter, really amazing.

I think they were running a bunch of discounts across their eBay webfront on all or most of their items, my guess is the discount amount was for another monitor or something, and whoever was altering them put the price cut on the wrong one.

Deal is still up, great price for what it is!

I'm really tempted: is this 1ms? Neither eBay nor manufacturer's website specify that?
The seller has got another identical monitor - same model which cost 368£ and that one is 4ms.

It's advertised as 4ms, and this seems about right compared to my previous IPS which was the same. Not going to match TN for motion clarity, but honestly it's very useable and nice to play with. What blurring is there is like a kind of a subtle motion blur effect like you get in some games which I'm totally fine with.

Thanks mate!

Guys, guys, this is back at this price!

I'm assuming P&P direct from their site would be £9.95, which potentially takes this to £219.93 laptopsdirect.co.uk/-65…asp

I got mine from the ebay store (and THEN I realised it was slightly cheaper on their Laptopsdirect store)..I ordered in the wee small hours on Tuesday morning, it turned up around 5pm tonight! Maybe the extra £ on the ebay listing goes towards One-Day Delivery (which costs £5 more on the Laptopsdirect site - ordinary delivery is in around 4 days, at £9.95).

According to the stickers/illustrations it IS the Razer edition (65C1GAC1UK). Just uncluttering my desk and will set it up later.
