How does that work? Maybe it was a return where the previous purchaser registered for the Warranty - dunno
warranty would be tesco 's problem to sort out ...... any problems and the sale of goods is a contract between you and the seller .. some companies try and fob you off saying it's down to the manufacturer.
Chuffed that you got a bargain Op, but tis a wild goose chase.

I've had a lot of problems with Motorola, part of the same company as Lenovo. However, as another poster has pointed out, if you have a problem you should return it to Tesco. In my case I'd purchased directly from Motorola so had to deal with them.

Didn't buy one as I have no need.

Only if you spend time and fuel searching specifically. OP noted 2 instore, no use to me though will keep an eye out when next in Tesco.
warranty is from day you purchased it
It's a nice hybrid but honestly, a little chunky for a laptop or a tablet as-is. I sold mine and bought an Ideapad 100s which has similar specs but is a non-touch laptop only with separate touchpad buttons (I hate those clickpads). Just right for putting in a small rucksack for the odd bit of work when out and about, but not too expensive to be a persistent worry.
Is this the one that doesn't bend all the way back on itself?

Somewhere on Lenovo's home page there's a place where you can enter your device's serial number and a scan of the receipt and they'll update the warranty for you, had the some problem when I got an ex-display Lenovo and they sorted it out quickly with no questions asked.
