Really tempted, but managed not to bite. Hot.
Hot, any chance to change 32gb to a cheap 128gb ssd? Or it's impossible
Also any way to increase the tam to 4 or 8gb at reasonable cost? have searched Internet and most reviews and vids are for a model that has 500 hd and 4GB ram

2GB is soldered, whether it has a second slot, I highly doubt it.

Also I think this edition is marketed as slimmest something so I doubt there is room for a full size had and I would be pleasantly surprised if it has msata or M.2. Slot, also the 32GB memory is Emmc so not a proper ssd they are also usually soldered in so not replaceable but couldn't verify it at.

Maybe in the morning.
Quite a lot for the money but still not really enough to do anything useful in Windows so for what it can do you may as well get an ipad or android tablet. Being kinda useless is why they are selling them off at nearly half price I guess.
I was thinking of a back-up laptop, but that I could use as a tablet, this could work quite well for my needs. The RAM seems small though, and I worry about the 32GB storage, as I've heard of a lot a people having trouble with Windows 10 updates with "hard drives" that small, as it says there is insufficient space, how much using an SD card for storing everything will help, I don't know.

Have you tried using SpeedFan to reduce the fan speed?

I haven't no! Thanks for the tip. I didn't notice the noise until recently but I'm sure it's always been there. Now I can't ignore it haha.
This is a great deal! I'd snap it up if I hadn't just bought a Dell Venue 11 Pro and all the accessories (for 3x the price, bah!)

Kinda tempted, but does anyone know if this version (celeron) comes with a TN or IPS type of screen?

I currently use a lenovo miix 3 tablet with attachable keyboard it has a lovely 1080 ips screen and cost a similar amount to the deal on offer, I could come down in Res but would like another IPS panel, the quality is far superior to TN panels in this price range.

With this price it'd most likely be TN.

That is a shame, if it has the same screen as my 130 quid Lenovo Miix 3 I would of bought 2 if it had a IPS 1366 type screen I would of bought one the screen on the miix 3 is amazing for the price

Lenovo IMHO
Bargain! I was looking to buy an Onda Obook or Voyo A1 (cheap Chinese clones of this) so I had a little machine with a keyboard to tote around and this popped up. Glad I waited!

32GB storage is fine for the basics, Office with some offline Dropbox sync - it's all I had on my Linx 7 tablet and I never ran out.
Is it my mobile app playing up or is there no "Get deal" button/link?

Found it. Recent app update seems to have removed it from before image and it only appears now when scrolling down from the OP!

I'd go out on a limb and say you'll get better support from Lenovo - you also get a slightly bigger screen than the Linx (and a better keyboard). The Linx you can remove the keyboard to make it a tablet though. It's definitely what you prefer at the end.
thank you OP, just what I was looking for.

I'd try taking the vaccum cleaner to it first. After years of collecting dust, mine started to sound like it was going to take off.
The processor in this benchmarks better than the Atom Z3735F, but saw a review that said this runs quite hot, and can't imagine the battery life will be as good as, say, the Asus that was on Tesco last week.

To those that say these types of hybrid devices are not powerful enough to do anything meaningful, I have a 2008 Asus netbook with Windows 10 that has 2GB of DDR2 and a CPU that benchmarks about 25% of the Celeron in this. And while it can get a bit choppy with iPlayer and some websites etc if there's other stuff going on in the background, for Word, Excel, Skype etc it's fine.

Something like this should do all that with no problem. Just don't expect to be using Photoshop, playing games etc.

Ccan the operating system be changed on these, as I don't like the way windows 10 reports to Micro$oft everything I do

You should be able to install a previous version of Windows or Linux easily enough. I'm not sure if the Lenovo drivers available in their website would work for previous versions of windows but I hope so. You will need these to enable screen rotation, keyboard/trackpad disabling when in tablet mode etc.

You may have to do some manual configuration to get these same features working in Linux.

Hi,

I take it you can't remove the keyboard. I'm after a new tablet after my Asus memopad started playing up. It started to lack response. I've seen a video on youtube showing how to repair this by taking the screen off and reconnecting some wires.
I know it has small on-board memory, but does this have an SD/SDXC card slot ?

I know they're all Chinese, but Lenovo is a tier 1/2 manufacturer whereas Onda and Voyo are not but they are 'Chinese clones' of this machine. It's not a derogatory term, it's just an adjective I used to describe both.

It does but apparently it's not flush, so a normal SDXC will stick out.
