We'll say £449 as that's the current price from April 8th.

Looks like it's ended unfortunately. Possibly the reason for the £60 drop from its lowest previous price.

Orange only at this price
Going to have to offer some heat for this deal. From what I've quickly looked up;

Processor similar performance to an i3-5010u but passively cool so no fan.
SSD in a sub £350 laptop
Full HD screen
8gb of RAM is nice so it seems they have not cut any real corners that I can tell.

Useful review for anyone considering hitting the buy button.

This is lowest. nice and very portable laptop. JL has it for £449 & lenovo shop had for £418 last week or so...
Would JL price match?

That review was for a £560 price-point, and this deal is for £340, a massive reduction in price. If they had to do that review again for this price point, it would go in a different segmant and totally dominate it. They would give it 4.5/5 or 5/5. That review only took place a few short months ago to...

As Harry would say, T'riffic deal!

bought! a cracking deal .. Cheers!
Seems like a reasonably good deal if you want a slim ultra-portable. Not a powerhouse spec, certainly, and battery apparently works out at around five hours if playing HD video, which I was a bit disappointed to hear but then it is very thin and has a HD screen, so it seems churlish to grumble. I generally don't take any trips longer than five hours, between power sockets, where I would be watching HD. Though I am holding out for something with an i5 6260U with Intel Iris graphics and an HD screen which... of course won't be as thin, light or cheap as this deal, the Lenovo appeals to me in other ways. I even like the orange outer shell colour (keyboard and screen bezel are an attractive gloss black, as far as I could see in the review on YT). Tempted! Good find!
Awesome deal, very tempted. Screen is 1920 x 1080 as well. At this price you won't find anything near this spec.

Would JL price match?

Unlikely as they stipulate price match is only for retailers with a physical shop (Amazon is online only)
Very tempting.
Good price, shame it's not 12.5/13".

true, but they might have to jump in the clearance competition to sell theirs..
JL will not match this from Amazon...
This looks like an awesome deal. Very similar to my boot-camped 11" Macbook Air, but with a better screen, 20% reduction in performance (vs i5-5250u) but HALF THE PRICE. Heat added
I purchased the yoga 300 from Amazon for £139 and the big problem is the screen and the touchpad is jumpy this seems a good option for people who have the money
tempting have some heat

Also this comes without a fan, so totally silent (not sure about that i5 on air, but would say it needs a fan).

As well this has a better screen...

Tbh to that mac, if that i5 comes with iris, it will have much better performance graphics wise.
I am tempted by this, but as I understand this is not actually a 2-in-1? So the keyboard always stays attached, which really means it is way too heavy to be used as a tablet?
whats the point I'm having the screen bend that far back? am I missing something?

i have used my 1.8 KG HP x360 in Tablet mode that one feels okay if you put it in Reverse tent mode on your lap, but not something you would hold on hands.

I would imagine this Lenovo 700 would be okay at 1.1 KG. I would have jumped for this if my DSR Return's policy wasn't expired.

It sits totally flat, so you are in essence holding a large tablet with a keyboard on the back. It's the Lenovo Flex that doesn't go all the way back.

They call it "tent mode" - so you can keep some part of your anatomy out of the sun & stop it turning orange.

lol. Agree it is a truly awful colour of an exterior. Lucky they are flexible and can match on the silver one
Thanks, ordered. Need to finally replace my ancient Sony (which was also via a deal here N years ago).

?

The silver version is still £450?

(I'm kind of tempted by this myself. The spec to money ratio here is really good. FHD in an 11.6" screen normally commands a hefty premium and the CPU is good enough for most things.)
Can the ssd be swapped out in this for a 256gb or bigger?

Don't see any reason why not.

But it's an M2 type SSD. Which limits your choice a little and they are generally slightly more expensive. Presume there isn't space for a standard SSD inside these?

Post on their support forums: forums.lenovo.com/t5/…216

Would suggest that to be the case. (Although the RAM is soldered according to that. But at 8gb, you're unlikely to need to add more anyway ...)
Cheers Buzz. Exactly what I have been looking for over last few days. Ticks all the boxes for me!
I've got the older version and these are great machines. Smooth, fast and practical.

So tempted to upgrade... the only thing putting me off is the orange colour!

Ohh I see! Was thinking it didn't bend any further and was just used as a stand, then realised you wouldn't need a stand with a laptop anyway! Now I need to choose between this and a Pixel C
So tempted!
Heat, Buzz.
Shame Currys don't price match, I have a voucher/gift card burning a hole in my pocket! Heat though, great price!
great, bought a ps4 for my little brother for his birthday, but he decided he'd rather have a laptop for school work etc, wanted a smallish one with touchscreen, this looks great with fhd screen, 2*Pi radians screen and and sad. Win Win Win! Shame its orange... but its not me who gonna be using this after all:P also, how is the processor for some light gaming? Minecraft, counter strike? i think these are the two games he plays at the moment.
