it should be released in the UK anytime soon. Its already released in the US

so tempted to ditch my asus transformer tf300 for this.. anyone know if the battery life lives up to what it claims? That's the main thing for me.

No I have one, gets about 7.5 hours at 50% brightness browsing web and youtube. The 18 hours thing includes many hours listening to music with the screen off....

Its a fantastic tablet though.

DO NOT BUY FROM ARGOS THOUGH, first one was faulty after two weeks, the second one just packed up and I was 3 days over a month from purchase so they put it in for "Repair" so now I have to wait 4 weeks for it to go to a repair center, god knows what abused refurbished crap I will receive back, not to mention the rude staff member who told me "You already got a new one, this one will have to go back for repair". I know its their right to do this (one of the three R's, but screw them), Amazon would have sent me a new one immediately even before I posted back the broken one.

I have the 10" Windows version with the keyboard and touchpad, and it's brilliant. It never ceases to amaze people when I whip it out on the train...

I have one of these. Great piece of kit. Excellent battery life. The flipdown stand/handle is a simple but brilliant bit of design, too.

Was just about to post the same comment, got one from JL a week ago, better deal and 2 year JL warranty, great tablet for the money, bought mainly for watching films on trips and with the stand this is perfect, screen and sound along with battery life seem great to me.
Wi-fi drops more regularly than my phone or chromebooks at home which seems to be a known issue (have to turn wifi on/off) but not a show stopper.

Amazon Germany also sell this tablet at €189 which works out at £135 today.

Been £129.99 for over 3 weeks in my local Currys store in Sydenham, London - Great deal if you are on benefits and cant afford a half decent tablet plus have an Argos store card - weekend sorted, crate of Stella's and a Tablet

Please point us in the direction of these half decent tablets you speak of for those on benefits...

Very tempting ... we've 5 Lenovo tablets in the house already, 2x10" and 3x 8"... they're brilliant, stable and nippy things. Got them all through outlet, and all were pretty much in mint condition. I'd recommend this even though I don't have one to speak of, but purely based on the quality of the ones we have already.
We've had cheapo Chinese ones in the past, never again.

why no mini hdmi out

reviews on john lewis aren't very good, i know people tend to only write reviews to complain but i would be a bit wary! shame, as i'm tempted!

I bought one from Amazon and returned within a week, bought another one from Argos in December and returned in January, same fault on both the power switch stopped working which is an inherent problem on all lenovo tablets which lenovo aware of and should have fixed but they ignore.
