The incredibly versatile Lenovo YOGA Tablet 2 adapts to your needs thanks to its unique kickstand. Ideal for everything from watching videos and surfing the web to socialising with friends and playing games, the YOGA Tablet 2 packs an Intel Atom processor, amazingly long battery life, brilliant entertainment ability and much more.
Perfectly positioned
YOGA Tablet 2 is designed to adapt to your viewing needs. The casing features a cylindrical design at the bottom that is comfortable to rest in your hands when holding the tablet. You can also put the tablet down on a flat surface with the cylinder propping the top of the tablet up in the perfect position for typing. When watching movies, making video calls or viewing photos, you can deploy the hinged kickstand to stand the YOGA Tablet 2 at the perfect angle to face you. And because it features a gyroscope, the screen will automatically adjust to the right way up, whatever the position.
Android KitKat
YOGA Tablet 2 is running on Android 4.4, KitKat, and comes complete with apps like Google Maps, YouTube and Google Play, for access to more games, apps, music tracks, movies and eBooks. With Android 4.4, you can set up different user accounts, making it possible for the whole family to enjoy their own individual apps and widgets, with parental controls in place to help you protect your children.
Atom Powered
A quad-core Intel Atom processor and 2GB of RAM, give the YOGA Tablet 2 real power to take on your apps and games. Delivering fast and smooth performance in apps, games and navigation, the Atom is power efficient too, ensuring that the YOGA Tablet 2's battery lasts for longer.
Incredible battery life
The YOGA Tablet 2 contains an incredibly powerful battery that will let you last for longer without recharging. This battery, housed in the cylindrical area of the tablet will help deliver true mobility, lasting up to 18 hours for web browsing on Wi-Fi.
Space to save
The YOGA Tablet 2 features 16GB of built in memory for storing your apps, games, pictures, music, videos and other files. You can also add extra storage by adding a microSD card up to 64GB, giving you plenty of room to store more.
Full HD
The 8-inch Full HD screen on the YOGA Tablet 2 is brilliant for everything from reading text to watching movies. IPS technology helps you see what's on screen clearly from wider angles, so you can enjoy a bright, vibrant picture, even if you're not directly in front of your tablet.
Hear the difference
Dual front-facing large chamber speakers on the YOGA Tablet 2 deliver clear, audio with brilliant depth. Additionally, Dolby Audio technology helps to ensure that you're enjoying sound that's perfectly tuned to whatever you're listening to, whether that's your favourite album or an explosive action movie.

The YOGA Tablet 2 features two cameras to ensure that you always get the perfect shot. The front-facing 1.6 megapixel camera is brilliant for taking awesome selfies and making video calls to friends and family. Still a good price for really good tablet.
Worth paying the extra £30. I've got the 10 inch and its a brilliant tablet.
I've been waiting for a 10" Windows Yoga 2, no luck thus far though
Am sorely tempted...anybody use a case/protective cover for these? ...would imagine not too many available due to the tabs unusual shape?...none mentioned in the John Lewis drop down list

I have never had a tablet before so know nothing about them. Is the yoga 10" 32gb one better than the Lenovo tab 2 A10 16gb - I had ordered a tab 2 a10 from john lewis and due to pick it up but now seen the yoga 10" 32gb for £10 more also got one reserved at local. is the only difference the 32gb and the stand. cant decide now which one to get as don't know which one is best - any advice please?

The A10 uses a quad core ARM cpu which is pretty fast, but has fairly mediocre GPU (graphics processor) so not ideal if you want to play any kind of 3d games.
The Yoga uses an Intel Atom CPU which is a little faster than the A10, but the GPU is much faster and will play 3D games pretty nicely.

The Yoga is heavier, and bulkier at the bottom where the batteries are located, but has the integrated stand which the A10 does not.

Both tablets have exceptionally good battery life.
Went to London Oxford Street today. They got a delivery in this morning. Had to wait an hour while they unpacked / did stock check but managed to get the 10" Yoga 2 tablet. Paid with my Nationwide credit card and got a further one year warranty.

C correct me if I'm wrong but I thought tablets were one of the many exclusions? The list seems to be growing every time I try to register something! Also I thought they'd only give you the 2nd year free so as you've already got 2 years with JL they wouldn't cover any extra?

You're right, I didn't spot that in their terms!

well slightly weird thing happened this morning was looking again at the net after phoning JL and finding no stock in either store that's upto 50 miles out, and told they were supposed to get stock in there warehouse last week (guess they went to London as usual), then up popped on google that amazon had some. so ordered it arrives tomorrow.

Thanks Mikerj - I will have a look at both before i collect. im probably going to go for the yoga, although I wont be playing games it still sounds better and it has the 32gb rather than the 16gb. just need to see about weight and the bar as have problems with grip, but would probably have to use either on lap anyway as prone to dropping things. thanks for you help.
I bought a Yogo 2 before Xmas, replacing my old Yoga 1 which was still working fine. The problem I'm having is that my Yoga 2 is losing about 30% battery power over a 12 hour period - this can't be right can it? I have installed Greenify, GSAM Battery monitor, and factory reset but still it drains at this speed.

I will send it back (got weeks of standby from my Yoga 1), but I'm still curious of other users' experience.
Can anyone else give me a rough indication of the battery drain I should expect from it?
It should lose around 10-20% battery normally

Thanks for the response,

so is that 10-20% over 12 hours, whilst using it normally? About a week in total with normal usage?

I was getting 30% drain whilst it idled overnight! I have since sent it back for an exchange with Amazon and will compare with your figures when it arrives, hopefully to get some decent life out of it!
