bhs are more known for bedsheets and slippers than laptops I believe
Nice but it's only £380 new from John Lewis with a 2 year guarantee and depending on the small print for what you can send in as a trade for £50 cashback you might prefer new and the 2 year peace of mind.
Also this one if you have something laying around that can claim the £100 cashback :-

Is it the exact same model number? I found one with one letter difference and it wasn't Full HD screen?
Btw the original post says 1080p, i may be wrong but i dont think a1/80EC00APUK is full hd.

It is full hd according to two different websites. Also the John Lewis one at £379 isn't HD and isnt dedicated graphics. This laptop more closely matches the one you found at 449-499

Same laptop, no cashback £50 cheaper here
I'll investigate further. The John Lewis one at £449 looks good with the £100 cashback.

If you look at the description from bhs :- "HD display
First and foremost of what a laptop must possess is a perfectly high end display to make your laptop a stunning visual representing device. A perfect gaming screen for your HD gaming graphics to go all smooth and speedy with every detail enhanced."

That's normally a tell tale sign of misleading customers over HD as normally anything that 1920x1080 is listed as Full hd and inferior screes are just listed as hd.

Its just BHS lack of pc knowledge. Look at the grammar to start with. Heres a link to a true laptop website with specs. Same model number. saveonlaptops.co.uk/m/p…082

You're right, not so great now. Bit misleading on the site.
It's hard work trying to find the spec. Amazon had these for sale for £299 according to one person that bought them and if you read the description fully it contradicts :-

Exceptional Display - Full HD (1920 x 1080) is perfect for any multimedia content

HD (1366 x 768), display is perfect for any multimedia content.

John Lewis advert aso has a picture of an i7. when it's AMD

I think its because the standard z50-75 has a 1366x768 display but this is a specialist model. Most websites state somewhere it is full Hd so it should be full Hd.

I have the same with an acer aspire v3 I have. All list it as i5 but mine is a higher speed i3 that was exclusive to Tesco on launch with more ram and larger hard drive. Theres too many revisions of everything

I've updated a few Lenovo's to Windows 10. The wifi couldn't be enabled after update. So had a dig about online and it was suggested to use install the Windows 7 version of Energy Management driver. I don't know if it would apply to this laptop. However it applies to the models mentioned in this driver release >

Something to refer back to maybe, IF you have problems on Windows 10.

If it's full hd then it's decent. It says refurbished so it's got me wondering if it's the previous hd model with a new full hd screen put on and then allocated a new product number.

The hd model is well known for having screen issues.
Price has increased by £2.... Must be from the hits :P
Lol, have you noticed alot of places all selling these and they come into stock on the 15th? There is a big old batch of these to move, so i wonder what the issue was or is with them.
Possible screen issue/fix like you said or a very large firm has gone bust/updated haha
Doesn't state Full HD anywhere on page. Seems dubious to me.

Nothing stopping you from ordering one and if it's not full hd sending it back for a full refund.
Search the product number 80EC00APUK and other sites give you more accurate specifica

I'm going with they all have new screens and been given a new product code. Tried looking on the Lenovo site for these and all i found was a slightly different product code to the same spec except screen which is hd not full hd.

Not on the Lenovo site though which i find a bit strange.
is it better if we compare it with i5 1.7 ghz ?

That is odd. Maybe its not updated with it yet if it is a re-revision?

Also this deal we are on now or this one. Do you think the extra £75 is justified for the faster cpu, graphics and been new?

Can do that aswel from the newer gen i5's. Intel beats Amd in the performance per GHz dept with there better tech. But AMD give you plenty of bang for your buck!
