A month ago this goes pretty hot at £120 something, and yet at under £100 people are lukewarm to it.

This community confuses the hell out of me.

Shame about the small capacity battery powering the large screen.

Haha, it's only been going for just under half an hour, give it a chance
I bought it a month ago and happy with it (the battery is almost as good as the couple of Xiaomi's IV had.
I think it's because it's black Friday week people expect stuff dirt cheap all week
I would call the pixel 4's 2800 mAh small, for the price the battery perfectly adequate.

There's an 3300mah battery in the flagship mi 9,id call that unacceptable, in a £98 phone, I think it is fine.

I think people are a bit wary of lenovo as updates seem to be few and far between and the software can be a bit buggy (from what I have read). But at this price, it might be worth the risk...
Thats a lot of hardware for £99 but what is the deal with the ZUI OS? Is it any good? I generally prefer stock android.
Seems a lot of phone for the money, how can anyone pick holes in it? known brand with high specs.
Seems a good deal to me, maybe budget another £40 for fees / UK charger though?

Great price. Very tempting. Watched this comparison with the Redmi Note 7.

Sounds like the Z5S has a buggy skin & no video image stabilization so I think I'll pass.
Sounds like a good first phone for my 10yr old son.
This phone keep tempting me...

Can you please answer a question?

Did you receive an OTA update for your Z5S to take it from ZUI 10 to ZUI 11, & if you did, did it improve things much or not at all?

Many thanks.
But with charge back there's no joint & several liability.

So if you receive a product that packs in a week later, its unlikely you'll get a charge back as it was received & working, leaving you with a dispute with the supplier.

Funnily if you don't use the discount code then you would be covered. You wouldn't happen to have a lesser discount code making it just over £100, then all's well?

The code in the op is no longer working, but you csn use this to take it to £103/£104

Sorted then. Although I wasn't actually looking for one, it was just the £100 issue.

Thanks for responding. If you're still on the February 2019 security update, then you probably haven't had an update. I'm guessing the Lenovo 10.5 refers to the version of ZUI you're on.

This was the update I was referring to...

gizchina.com/201…on/

There may be a way of forcing the update but like you, I'm no phone expert, so I wouldn't have the first clue how to do this.

No worries, I'm not one for needing the latest Android version on release day! As long as it's still ok security wise I don't mind what version I'm on and I never fall to far behind as I update my phone every year or so...
