French director Luc Besson tackles his first American movie in this unusual tale of Leon (Jean Reno), a stoic assassin who develops a reluctant relationship with an orphaned 12-year-old girl (Natalie Portman, in an excellent debut performance). When a corrupt DEA official (Gary Oldman) murders the girl's parents in a botched drug deal, the diminutive New Yorker has no one to turn to but Leon, the hit man down the hall. A combination of thrilling action and heartfelt emotion, LEON is a remarkably unique and engaging film.

Best film ever

One of my favourite films of all time. A great price for a piece of great Cinema.

There is also a good deal on the bluray somewhere on the forums.

I voted cold. I dunno but I just see DVD as old technology now and £4ish just seems average nowadays. £1.50 more or so gets you the blu ray so this isn't hot for me.

lol with that in mind check out Kick Ass's Chloe Moretz in a few years!

My favourite film of all time. A masterpiece.

Genius film, i've got it on dvd, blu ray and vhs (remember them?)

I prefer the extended version of the film though.

If you have seen the original cut version but havent seen the "Directors Cut" then prepare to have your illusions shattered about Ms NP's innocence in this film.

Great film............. or should I say films :-)

I got the Bluray version of this but heat added anyway because it's a great film.

Agreed. I even felt a little uncomfortable watching the Director's Cut. I much prefer the innocence of the original version and I wish that I had never watched the Director's Cut as it has somewhat spoilt the film for me.
