So my last comment about Len's style was deleted so I'll say instead : …So my last comment about Len's style was deleted so I'll say instead : Music in the key of death would be a good album name for one of Len's songs.

Songs of quality and distinction.
Any Leonard Cohen deal gets heat from me.

Very nice find @apologue

I have this, it is great, and well worth the money but it has been less than half this price in the past (admittedly it was 5-6 years ago i bought it for a tenner)

That's on Songs of Love and Hate, a most perfect album
Fantastic! I have them all already but not the remastered editions. Ordered.

If only the Tom Waits remasters came out like this I'd save a fortune
AutoRip too - that decided it.

As does mine. I could never stand listening to him when she played his music as it sounded too dirgy for me and just to put that into perspective, I'm a Radiohead fan FFS.

Being a good son, I took her to see Cohen in London a few years ago. And would you believe it, because I still don't - it was one of the best, most soulful, upbeat and moving gigs I've ever been to.

Bizarrely, I still can't listen to the majority of his recorded stuff afterwards.. but that was truly magical.
So jealous. I didn't get to see him live

I did manage to see Tom Waits live and Nick Cave live several times though (along with various other bands).

It took me ages to listen to You Want It Darker after Leonard passed.

Waits+Cohen+Cave = dream team; still not managed to see Waits live, it's been years since he toured and last time he charged something extortionate.

I think it was something like 125 quid a show, worth every penny though. I saw him in Edinburgh. Front centre of the balcony.
Tickets had your name printed on them and you had to go with ID and the card you paid with.

A once in a lifetime gig.
Ridiculous. They’re all on Apple Music for free. Why waste your money? Hardly anyone has a CD player nowadays either. COLD!

"I have an Apple Music subscription and no CD player and can't understand why anyone would be different from me". Stupid comment.
