Les Misérables is the motion-picture adaptation of the beloved global stage sensation seen by more than 60 million people in 42 countries and in 21 languages around the globe and still breaking box-office records everywhere in its 27th year. Helmed by The King’s Speech’s Academy Award-winning director, Tom Hooper, the Working Title/Cameron Mackintosh production stars Hugh Jackman, Oscar winner Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway and Eddie Redmayne.

Jackman plays ex-prisoner Jean Valjean, hunted for decades by the ruthless policeman Javert (Crowe) after he breaks parole. When Valjean agrees to care for factory worker Fantine’s (Hathaway) young daughter, Cosette, their lives change forever.

Another Doctor Who and Les Miserables fan!

I almost bought this for £12 from Amazon! Then £10 from Play. Soooo buying it now! It's my favourite film of all time, which is quite funny as I almost walked out of the cinema in the first 40mins. I knew there was a theatre show as well, but had no idea the movie was a musical movie. Ended up loving it.

The big shame for a film I had great hopes for was that they hired that (and I hesitate to use the word) "actress" who was in mamma mia. Oh dear, she couldn't act or sing in that and she certainly ruined this film too... and I love this musical!!! I cant bring myself to watch it a second time, which is a real shame because S-B-C and H-B-C were great as the Thenardiers....

Maybe next time and Ill keep faith with the stage version 10th anniversary dvd...

Out of stock at that price now

God damn it, was about to order for my mum's birthday then it went OOS.
