I hope the HDUK experts can help evaluate this deal. It seems good to me, with Full HD, 3GB ram. I am looking for a replacement for my Galaxy note 3, which seems to be dying.

Band 20, whatever that is, seems to be important for some networks. I don't know if this phone has band 20. I am also not sure if this phone has an international ROM.

What happens if your phone does not have band 20?

All UK networks use band 20 for 4g. They also use band 3 and 7 but O2 only really use band 20. EE use all three bands, Vodafone use 20 and 7, and Three use band 20 and 3.
So 4g won't work at all on O2, and overall coverage won't be as good on the other networks.

Unless you really live in a very remote area it's really not massive. People on here talk so much misinformed **** it's unbelievable.

This is a great phone and the spec on offer here is unbelievable. Voted hot.

thank you for that - clear and concise.

much appreciated.

re this phone - the reviews suggest a lot of build quality issues (gsmarena.com/lee…php)..

also no NFC, which is a shame. yes you can say maybe you shouldn't expect it for the price.. BUT my £99 voda SU6 came with NFC.

my main use for NFC is android pay, which is actually extremely convenient, considering there are contactless terminals almost everywhere nowadays. can even traverse london, including buses and tube, with just my phone - quite a liberating experience without tickets, cards etc

rather difficult to go back once you've adopted actively using android pay, IMO.
Experts?......lolololololololol.

Battery Capacity (mAh): 3000mAh Built-in
I have Le eco Max 2 and official ROM is full of virus and Spyware . THink before buying as it will be £ 93 plus customs charge down the drain. No wonder Leeco failed in USA . If they stop putting virus, chinese apps and spyware in their phones, they could have sold many more like Oneplus and Huwaei.
↑ gotta admire your relentless single-minded mission to bring down this company, lol

If network got more than one 4g band, than use just one per area. It means there are many areas in UK cover just with band20 frequency.

Yeah gud gob done X)
LeEco are on the verge of bankruptcy. Prices could go cheaper if retailers try to offload their old stock. Also, no chance of any security/software updates, but that's usually par for the course with Chinese phones any way.
Had a different LeTv model....phone & quality were excellent but was running a custom ROM for the UK & the first time it did an OTE update I was left with a phone running Chinese android with loads of apps with Chinese names.......

Never again !!
Does this have LineageOS support?
I suspect no microsd slot.

Also Band 20 is used for VoLTE even cities so you could miss out on that as well.

The security you get with android pay is what I was going for lol. Also you can store multiple payment cards, and even all your store loyalty cards.

Rather than carrying around a thick wallet with about 10 cards and cash, I can now carry just my phone - very handy indeed.
Stick to a known brand like Xiaomi.

Agreed, I find my O2 3G is quicker than its 4G due to the lack of coverage

Band 20 is a 800mhz which I think means the range is good but the bandwidth isn't, the other UK bands are much higher mhz. And explains why O2 is generally considered slow for 4g coverage...

Thanks, I tried a search but couldnt see lineageos support in xda-developers for some reason and LineageOS app had broken link for this model.
Any comments on LineageOS usability for this?

Even if it came with NFC, it wouldn't support Android Pay. NFC is available on similar priced European Android phones that Google allow their Pay app to run on, but rarely does it work on Chinese imports. You can try to use Magisk to get Pay working on Chinese phones with NFC but it usually doesn't help.

Just to make you aware, Gearbest confirmed that they willl declare any shippment at lower value or as a gift.

Looks like the custom is getting strict now, lol.

Doogee and Cubot have also shown themselves to be pretty decent. Generally avoiding malware issues and offering high value phones, some even from Amazon UK directly avoiding Banggood, etc.

Some people don't know why band 20 is important but it was like those who bought 2G-only phones as 3G was on the rise. It's not worth missing out on better coverage quality by skipping band 20, and you can't use a coverage checker then blame the network later. It's also not about 'remote locations, 4G can host a lot more connections at once so there are many additional benefits - the networks will invest in 4G, not old 3G.

I hear terrible things about adware/spyware in every Doogee topic.

From reports I've read, O2 appears to be the worst performing 4G supplier, so if 4G matters to you that much then I suggest you change supplier and not worry about Band 20! My wife has a Xiaomi Mi5, which does not have band 20, and 4G performance with Three is excellent around Merseyside.

Really? Please could you provide references. The only warnings I've read are for non-offical Le Eco ROMs. Cheers.
