Thanks to damadger for the original post here.

Very well specced and priced phone. Yes, it appears to be missing band 20 but hopefully this is going to be unlockable (thanks goes Mars104 from the original thread for pointing this out - linky pops)

Add the phone to your basket and apply the following discount code: KIMOVILX820 This brings the phone down to: $180.59 which if you leave Banggood to do the conversion results in £149.84 delivered.

If you have a card which provides the perfect exchange rate, change the currency to Dollars and let your card do the conversion to save a few pounds.

Pretty sure these do have band 20. Fingerprint scanner is a joke though, unless they've been improved in later batches. Software sucks as far as notifications when the phone is in sleep mode.

How is the build quality? How long could it last for? The stuff made for chinese consumers is never as good as the stuff that goes to Europe/North America.

It's not too bad for a China phone. Not as good as the LG V10 that was listed this morning for £210(ish), but that post appears to have vanished??

Very good phone and has Mokee Marshmallow Stable.

Rubbish fingerprint sensor though, one of the worst in any China phone

redmi note 3 pro is abit older by better in my opinion, if build quality is anything to go by, the xiaomi wins. this has some pretty ugly thick black bezels around the screen.

This has a much better spec. From reviews, this probably also has a better build quality than the Redmi Note 3 Pro. Plus the Redmi also has the ugly, thick black border around the screen (see pic below) - it's just less noticeable if the surrounding bezel is black. Unfortunately, this LeEco doesn't come in black.

I had an letv one pro S. Awesome spec. Lots of bloatware and no Rom support. Hideous to flash. Avoid. Now rocking a Doogee. Much better

It does come in grey which should help. Not that I have any issues with a 2mm black border. Maybe I'd be upset to find a black border if bought a Mi Mix.

The Mi Mix has it too, but the line is thinner than usual & the black-edged bezel helps too - from a review:

"Strictly speaking it's not entirely edgeless - there is still a bottom bezel, plus a thin black border around the screen as is common on Xiaomi phones..."

Can the OP please tell me why I would risk buying from China when returns are a horrendously expensive process.

I guess I can answer this with another question. Can you buy a similarly specced phone in the UK with warranty for the same price?

Presumably the V10 was a refurb, there seems to be a whole batch of refurbs that have cropped up on eBay and aliexpress multiple Chinese sellers starting from £190 odd. Good phone, not sure I could live with the battery life, and boot loop seems to be a too common issue to risk a refurb from China.

Of course you can buy a similarly specced phone with UK warranty though it'll be twice the price.

No, new. There are a stack from HK on Ebay. £215 for a single sim and £230 for the dual sim version. I read a while back that LG were clearing stocks in HK. Very tempted.

Might look again, I wasn't convinced they were new, in the description it says they've been tested? Even though it says they're new?

I think that might be because they swap the charger for one to suit the country it's being shipped to, also a lot of them state that 'We will set the language according to your shipping country.' I'm guessing they as they come from HK they all default to Chinese?

I was the one who posted that LG V10 eBay deal (that HUKD later deleted), & while that particular one may have been a refurb (as they were opened), these ones aren't as I contacted the individual sellers who said these are in their original manufacturer's sealed boxes (& they declare its value as a $20 gift):

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/371824839949
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262796603096
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282304788722

And, for what it's worth, these actually have a better, premium, full metal unibody build compared to the V10.

Thanks for the reply, will give it some serious thought, the V10 is to replace an LG G4 - good camera is a must so that rules out nearly all the cheaper Chinese phones - low light performance is always an issue. Off to see how the V10 battery life stacks up against the G4, neither are good but wouldn't want the V10 to be much worse than the G4.

Not very good it would seem (similar to the G4), but fully charges in just 65 mins. The G4 takes double the time to charge apparently.

Yep, that's what I'm seeing too, so it wouldn't really be an upgrade from the G4, really frustrating. I have a Mi Max and the battery lasts days, and that's with a larger screen than the V10 - might look at the zero lemon battery for the G4 until the Chinese get their act together for low light photography - the hardware they use is pretty sound, but somehow they always manage to disappoint- maybe they have so many neon signs they don't get low light?

If you're a Xiaomi fan, take a look at the info for the new Mi 6 Mix. 100%, 5.7 inch with a 'pop out' front facing camera. Should be out in a month or so.

No doubt, the very high-end & expensive Mi 6 looks great, but the main attraction of this Letv is the high spec for the low price.

Tempted to get this, hoping that installing RR will improve the fingerprint performance.

Was trying to decide between these two myself. From what I gather -

Note 4X would have better battery life, better original ROM, supports SD card, and is cheaper.

Le Max 2 has a larger screen in a body of a very similar size, might have slightly better camera (not 100% sure as Note 4X has a newer sensor model), and is faster. As you mentioned, Le Max 2 has lots of reported issues with the fingerprint sensor..

Kimovil comparison here.

I ended up ordering Le Max 2, however, I'm guessing that Redmi Note 4X is just as good of a choice.
