Excellent phone apart from the camera, in-depth review over here:

Note that the model X722 can't install a custom recovery meaning no Custom ROM, go for the European version with band 20 (X720). A custom ROM could be installed on that.

This or the ZTE Axon 7?

I was not aware that you cannot install a custom ROM on this model. However this model has Band 20 , furthermore just noticed on banggood website is saying that this phone is coming with Android 7.1.1 , did they pre-installed a custom rom?

I went for the ZTE Axon 7
The Le Pro 3 has a better battery while the ZTE has an AMOLED display. The ZTE has a headphone jack (very important for me) while the Le Pro 3 doesn't. Both phones specs are the same, so buy the phone which you think will suit you the most.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that ZTE Axon 7 is on Nougat and has regular updates and has a near stock android experience. Furthermore the camera on the ZTE is much better.

I thought the Le Pro 3 had Marshmallow 6.0 running with a heavy skin called 'eui' but Banggood may of installed a Custom Rom, I'll suggest when you get the phone to flash stock rom to avoid any chinese malware.

Er well they can actually look exceptionally good as well, as Android is the only mobile OS with enough app support and customisation support so that you can make it look exactly how you want, so you can make it look a right state or sublime. Apple take the approach that what they've designed is the best and all you need so you can't customise it much at all. Apple and Android have their strengths and weaknesses, how about embracing the good and bad of both systems instead of a pointless versus war, which never amounts to anything useful.

Try and do this on IOS >

The only thing about Apple phones that I've been impressed with is the quality of photographs that they take.

Other than that, there's nothing that would attract me to the brand - the designs are pretty nondescript but granted they have a generally high build quality.

The main attraction for Android, is about me choosing how I'd like to use the device. Apple is really hopeless in that department - based on my experience.

Not a fanboy for either side by the way.

The interesting point is that some one who uses Apple IOS commonly will not like using Android and similarly the reverse is true. They are both leading mobile operating systems, but distinctly different in their ecosystem. I see the value in both, I choose to use Android because of how I choose to use the phone. As I work for a company repairing and selling these devices I get to use IOS too and I can see the value in that operating system. If only IOS existed or just Android existed then we lose the important factor of choice. In my line of work it is impossible to state that Android is better than IOS or vice versa, just that some features of each system are better or worse and that is down to the user requirements.

Well there used to be choice with the disaster known as the Windows Phone as well

From my general obervation, the average apple product user tends (using sweeping generlisation) to be much less tech savvy. Yes of course there will be exceptions but the majority buy them for reasons other than being tech savvy.

For many years my pals wife used to slag me off for having an Android phone. My pal couldn't care less and ran a dumbphone but his wife and son were Apple users and normally had to ask me to fix whatever issue they couldn't overcome with their phones from time to time.

Anyhoo...about 1 year ago, my pals wife changed to a Samsung phone...and dumped Apple.

Never heard the end of it! "It's so much easier, everything just works how you want it to, why did I keep buying iphones!"

I had to laugh about it

And Axon has expandable storage

This phone is worst when it comes to software updates. I have one and I am using AICP rom. Stock rom is buggy and this model was not released outside China. They are probably shipping it with seller rom. I would suggest buy a xiaomi instead. LeEco will bankrupt soon.
