Plus £8 delivery and the possibility of that dreaded grey card from royal mail.
Surely if you are going for this make your spend a bit more and get the eco? They've released a new ai version with duel camera.
Personally I've read too much about spyware with letv to trust one.

Ah, missed the p&p. Never been stung with customs from AliEx but guess it depends on the seller.

I have once, doesn't stop me posting Ali deals however.

But people seem to be getting hit more and more from the comments on other threads.

I've had LeEco Le Max 2 for a year and it's a great phone, no spyware, but I did custom rom it. Easy to disable.delete LeEco apps anyway.

I looked at getting one the camera seems really decent, think I read about built in (hardware) spyware somewhere and it put me off. There's a lot of spyware comments about this company tbh.

Very well built phones for the money.

Had mine since November last year only gripe is the the screen on time is not the best. It's not hellish but don't expect it to last until the end of the day, if you are a heavy user.

It's a very decent phone otherwise (I have the X527)

What changed?

Some Chinese sites offered tax and import duty insurance. One of my friends did that (cost around £3) and was hit with charges.
Presumably the Chinese e-tailers will no longer offer this option if it's always going to be the case...

The change is that it's not "possibility to be caught by customs" anymore. It will be caught definitely instead.

Read news recently that claimed "## millions of Chinese parcels a year reach Europe without import VAT" blabla... The customs office is now more vigilant than ever. They will check any "brick-like" parcels to charge customs. If it's from a European warehouse, that's fine. Otherwise, you'll have the grey card anyway. So the vat and import duty insurance is a good idea if the seller provides it.
Sounds like they will just have to use EU/UK locations in furture and ship from there?
