You'll probably spend more time reading than writing if its used in a tablet/PC as a drive.

I deleted my original comment as this stick features encryption! :P

That's not the micro one.

Does anyone know if these overheat? Could you just leave it plugged into a laptop all the time?

Looks better than the ultrafit.

Can't comment on this one but the Samsung one is only £1 more and is sold by Amazon so not only will it arrive significantly faster it will also have the guarantee of using top quality Samsung memory. The only other slight negative is it's slightly slower, but I have one of these and can confirm they run very cool (as in heat wise)

These are good for chromebook owners out there that can't upgrade to a bigger size SSD.

Great find, don't forget Quidco

when will they stop? i mean please dont stop. I cant wait for 1tb stick for 10£. although i only need about 16gb. they can stop actually. no, dont! i need to make more sense

I know these are slower than SSDs, but will it be quicker to access data from than a standard HDD in a laptop?

But it is a slightly faster one, with write speeds of 60MB/s, as opposed to 45MB/s.

Where's the value part of this deal? All 128GB drives seem to be around same price.

well the deciding factor wil then be-

- actual speed in a USB 2 or USB 3 slot
- heat level - as in - some get really hot
- actual quality - as in - some dont last long at all

Lexar are quite well regarded in this kind of memory. When it comes to professional photography and similar areas they already make the highest performing readers and cards. even if some of their pro lines area bit pricey.

Even the single seems a very good price, but the price for two is excellent. I hear a lot of stories about fake memory sticks. I've never used MyMemory, are they reputable? I see they are based in Jersey, has anybody any experience of actual delivery times?

Thanks

They are the first and occasionally the only site I check for memory cards and sticks. I don't buy off them all that often, but they've been excellent each time I do.

Thanks. I took a chance and ordered. I've had the confirmation of dispatch so fingers crossed! Only realised afterwards that I could have gone through Quidco for a bonus 3%. Never mind, hopefully there will be a next time.

Looks a good find. Interested to know how hot it gets in use.
