They are only USB 2.0. That might not be a problem if you're only transferring small files.

These ones are £3.44 and USB 3.0 amazon.co.uk/Kin…HC/
I also bought some of these Lexar ones the other day from Ebuyer. ebuyer.com/399…beu When you go through to the checkout, postage starts out at ~ £7, but ended up being free once I logged in.

They're only 8GB so don't think it's a fair criticism to level against these, when you start hitting 32GB and above then USB3.0 is more relevant.

I can remember being chuffed when I got a 512mb stick for £34. Those were the days...

Great drives, bought stacks from Staples when they were on the buy 2 get 1 free offer.
Not the fastest drives in the world, but perfect for my needs, I have lots of versions of Windows and Linux ISO's on the for installing OS's, the Label and LED light is very useful.

Anyone know what the speeds are with this drives?

Can't go wrong at this price!

I bought 3 8gb Lexar green ones last year at £2.99 ea. Currys had Cruzer Force 8Gb ones at £2.99 (retail was something stupid like 14 quid) at the same time (the very tiny ones, lost one already!

I think they can bring these down much cheaper. They must be buying these in at pence.
My advice. Wait. Just like petrol, they'll be a pound soon. Then you'll be saying sod, I paid nearly 3 quid for one, now they're 3 quid for 3 ...lol .:p

I just ordered 4 sticks from amazon. Didn't say ' out of stock ', but delivery quoted 6th - 27th Feb. In my experience this means nothing. Often delivered in a few days if in stock. First time I have purchased from HotUkdeals. Fantastic site - many thanks.
