The brother will be a better long term buy, due to toner costs.

Voucher code 'Sorry' might work for another fiver off

Lexmark still make printers

Awful, very very high running costs which is typical of Lexmark

Bought one of these from printerland last year for £39:99
Had to chuck it away as I couldn’t find any toner for it. All I could get was original toner for over £100 a pop.

Good initial deal but as with all unpopular printers the toners will be extortion. This printer is only worth as long as the startup toner lasts.

Bought an OKI printer from printerland now cost £100 but you can get toner for £36 - 7K pages from cartridge save. Will Work out reasonable cheap in long run.

Cold - Toner cost is astronomical on this printer as its a Lexmark.

Buy the Brother printer that Summoner has linked to above instead - the extra upfront cost will more than pay for itself when the toner runs out.

When you're buying a laser printer check if cheap/generic toner is available - your wallet will thank you in the long term!

I've got a Dell C1760NW colour laser printer - which is still on its original cartridges (after I disabled the toner level check by turning on the "non-dell" cartridge option), even after 18 months of reasonably regular use (but I bought a cheap set of generic toners for when they do eventually run out)

Dell don't do printers any more - but you can get some decent printers from the likes of OKI or Brother which can take generic cartridges.
