I still dont understand why people buy cheap lexmark printers to then get stung on ink?. My advice buy an epson the replica cartridges do exactly the same job and cost 99p a pop.

What replica company do you use? I just bought a black replica HP cartridge at inkclub and the print quality is not very good. Every other line, it prints at a lighter colour and have a streak.

to be honest with you i dont usually use replica companys...although if this helps (only if you have sepearte colour and black cartridge) you can go with ur empty black cartridge and get it refilled, for a much cheaper price, have a look around in most printer/printing shops in ur home town.

what are you going on about?? My lexmark wasnt cheap and there are plenty of cheap replicas that work fine .

was this comment 2 me????

Don't judge a ]cartridge just by its price; the number of pages it can print is just as important. That figure will change depending on how much ink you use on a page; the industry-standard is 5% coverage per page for each color. Some companies make yield information available on the Web along with other printer specifications; others will provide it if you ask.

I bought this and have just noticed that the price has dropped to 14.99 so have requested my partial refund.
