Hot Spec - but refills seem very expensive I'm only paying @ £3 a cartridge at present can't see anything under £19 ??

Sounds good price.
3% Topcashback/Quidco.

Sadly no Cheap Compat Ink carts for this Beast.. Cheapest is about 28 quid for a SET..

Cold, because carts are a rip off

warranty is just to make sure you have a printer to buy carts for.

good price for a duplex but
its an inkjet so not the most economic ( i used an inkjet for occasional colour but a mono laser as a general workhorse)
its a lexmark.....rubbish make

great bit of kit, but as other have said, and as is always the case with lexmark, ink cartridges at prices even BA staff would be embarrased by.

I have similar model posted a while ago went to -75 due to cartridges.
I have personally refilled the cartridge twice with cheap ink from tesco was £5 for 75ml of ink.
on top of cartidge peel off sticker partially and you will see a small hole enlarge this enough for the needle and inject 5-10ml of ink depending on normal or XL cartridge.
clean the area stick back the lable if does not stick well use clear tape.
also try to refill when cartridge is about to finish (ie streaks and missing letters)rather than late when printing nozzles may become blocked.
Have not found a solution to low ink warning but works fine and you can continue ignoring this warning.
I have only refilled black so far (twice)
Printer is excellent with easy setup.

I use mine mainly for text/documents and it gives good quality results BUT it goes through cartridges at a scary rate. I don't print loads but over the last 3 months I have replaced the black cartridge 3 times at about £18 a shot.

I've not had much luck using the universal black refills with it either as, even when you have filled it up, it will still come up telling you the ink is low. If you just ignore this message it will sometimes print and other times it won't. Seems a bit hit or miss.

When this current cartridge runs out I'm replacing the printer.
