Why?

Even if it were free, it would cost you an arm & a leg for inks, it's a lexmark

I bought one of these a few months back and they work brilliantly

The only problem is that the replacement ink cartridges cost an arm and a leg

Wouldn't have bought one if I'd known

If anybody knows of a method of buying refills or refill kit I'd be very interested to hear about it

Thx

couple of sets of lexmark carts and you probably could have picked up an Epson plus extra set of carts

Do what I do, buy a Lexmark printer every time your ink runs out, take the carts out of that, it's cheaper

Seriously expensive ink with little 'compatible' savings out there.

thanks for sharing the views, I am not buying it now.

I'm just back from Tesco actually, and there's a Lexmark on sale for £29.97ish

Cheaper than the colour and black carts it contains? If not, not far off...

do they come with full or tester carts? i would check that becuase from what i know, the first set are always trial carts

how very green of you :whistling:

yuo do realise the carts are only half full?

How easy it is to refill this yourself?I have used HP and canon and they are very easy to refill and i only replace ink cartridge after 8-10 refills.

lexmark printer I had was very temperamental with refilled carts (i.e never worked properly).

realised the error of my ways and bought a laser printer for £50 which has ink costs 50 times less than a lexmark

Agreed, don't touch lexmark with a bargepole. Replacement ink will set you back a fortune. And it goes through the ink at a hell of a speed too.

yep - mine was getting through a FULL large cartridge in about 30 pages of text so worked out at about 50p a page!

My laser printer does 2000 pages per cart = 1p per page :w00t:
