The Lexmoto Arrow is a 125cc commuter motorcycle with attractive 5 spoke alloys along with a distinctive sports commuter style. The sturdy 125cc engine offers brilliant fuel economy and reliability, while the smooth power delivery makes for an enjoyable ride for both novice and experienced riders alike.

I remember passing my test on a Kawasaki AR125 18 years ago. I paid £1300 second hand for that then. This is outstanding value for a learner Bike and its 4 stroke so no need for topping up with 2 stroke oil.

Nice price, but top speed is a miserable 85KPH (53MPH)

do i need license to drive it?

Whatever you do, don't buy this. There's a reason it's this cheap, because it's a cheap Chinese steaming pile of **** made from cheap crappy Chinese metal.

If there's one thing you don't buy from China, it's motorbikes, it'll fall apart in weeks.

If you're going to buy a bike, buy a Japanese bike, you won't regret it.

You'll need a provisional licence and Pass a CBT to ride it with L plates. Correct me if I'm wrong. It might have changed since I was 17 Here is the gov link gov.uk/cbt…iew

No your right markpj777. The only other thing worth mentioning is that your CBT only lasts for 2 years so unless you pass both modules of the main tests, you will have to retake your CBT again.

No, a note from your Mum would be fine.

I think you'll still need to complete a CBT. I think you could be exempt if you passed your driving test a long time ago, but that might have changed now.

Yep everyone needs to take a CBT before riding any motorbike on the queens highway.

I will second that we bought one for my son off ebay biggest mistake ever it came half assembled and when i did manage to get it together the carb did not work properly then after a few weeks the frame snapped near the engine mounts also the gears stopped working and the seller did not want to help at all so PLEASE AVOID ANY CHEAP CRAP AT ALL COSTS you have been warned buy a proper make as the old saying goes you only get what you pay for !!!

As stated above: avoid.

Spend £850 on a second hand Japanese bike.

By the 18 year old AR125 mentioned in the OP - just don't buy this.

Can i ride this on my tv licence

We call the owners of these bikes donors.

werdas

Nah, or a helmet or insurance.....

Sambat

lol

I tend to avoid just about everything Chinese these days.. tablets, r/c cars, anything... you always buy cheap twice!!

Cheap for a reason, WHEN it breaks most garages won't touch Chinese bikes. Parts are hard to source and you fix one thing and another one breaks.....

Pile of ***t,please stay away from these cheap imports!!.nothing but trouble

mehmeh

No, a note from your Mum would be fine.

hahaaha

Top speed ?

will 134mpg get me to China to return the bike?

Ride mine to work and back, use it 5 days per week and never had a problem

Probably better off buying a used cg125, but it would be a few years old. Don't listen any rubbish comments about spares, no issue getting Lexmoto stuff.

Probably fall apart in 12 months but you cannot deny that is flipping cheap for a new 125. Even one as slow as this.

Hey! I work for a massive Chinese automotive OEM in fact the 6th biggest car manufacturer in the world!

The Chinese are very clever and determined they are often being led by excellent European engineers.

They like Japan did are starting to make some good kit.

Back in 2004 I purchased a brand new 50cc monkey bike from ebay for £399 road registered, it was the best £399 I have ever spent, It was resisted as a moped so I could ride it on my car licence, I used it every day for 3 years to commute to work 14 mile round trip and ran the **** out of it, only cost me about £4 a week in fuel. when I sold it on ebay as a non runner I got £250 back so I had 3 years and only lost £150 in value, saying a non runner the day it got collected I kicked it over to show the buyer how it did not run but it only fired back into life first kick, he was very happy with his buy....My next buy from ebay was a brand new pre registed malagueta F10 moped for £485 and Again ran it for 3 years and got nearly all my money back when sold, you just can not seem to get bargains like that anymore....my last 2 scooters were kymco agilitys and they are excellent value for money and very reliable....

There must be some days though, where you can't get on with the bike because of a wheelchair or a pram.

Chinese bikes are as useful as chocolate tea pots.

Full uk license your allowed to drive a 50cc motorbike without L plates.

Or a quad bike

125cc requires cbt with L's

Then there's three lisenses two being pointless. Other than the last direct access which now requires being 24 years old.

It has to be japense. I have a dealer local that sells these. Basically fools kids that they know haven't got money to play with

I ride my 50cc on my car licence as it also entitles you to carry a pillion passenger, me and my wife have had many happy journeys around north wales 2 up on my kymco agility, always get stopped by the police to see why I do not need L plates and also check I can carry a passenger. whenever they see moped they think learner......

Jog on mate, the crud you lot produce is about as realible as a bike made from paper and are utter death traps.

That's saying Chinese metal can be compared to paper though, paper is at least 5x stronger.

I have a sanben gladiator 125cc,bought it 5 years ago,its a Chinese scooter, its sailed through its mot, every time, its quite reliable and every time I pop into the garage for a service or new lights etc I see rows of expensive Japanese scooters ready for the knackers yard, made in China is no longer a badge of shame, even the I pad is made in China,as are most of your expensive smart phones and I own a lenovo tablet and its quality.
Basically if you must buy a Chinese bike,or for that matter any motorcycle, buy from a reputable dealer, service it,don't crash it or treat it crap and it should last.
Don't buy off a guy in the street or off e bay, everyone knows you get sold a lot of crap on eBay with very little comeback.

This is not a "deal". Yes, this is "cheap"...but I've ridden one of these and it was the most poorly put together piece of junk I had ever sat on. Do some reading and research first!

Is Chinese metal different to other countries metal? Surely iron is iron no matter what country you are in. Unless you are saying the iron or steel they use isn't actually iron or steel.

think peeps should stick to commenting on apple/android threads...

This isn't a valid comparison. Ipads and what not may be made in China, but they still have to be to Apple's/American standards and put through quality control.

These bikes are designed in China, made in China and built to China quality standards, which isn't high.

Being made in China and being built, produced and manufactured In China standards are very different.

When I passed my CBT, I was looking at the cheaper brands, for example the one here, but after having discussions with fellow motorcycle enthusiasts, they advised to stay away! Shoddy workmanship, will eventually fall to pieces and always need constant repair to them.

I ended up getting a 2008 CG125 for just under £1k and don't regret it at all.
It's a great quality bike and will hold its value if and when I take my full test.

For an extra £150, buy second hand and from a quality manufacturer!
