Used it to repaint a rented property. It had good coverage and that was over the top of red.
What is the difference between this and the Leyland Contract one please? Which is better? Any advice would be gratefully received.
I used the contractors white one and it was terrible.
Using it now, it's not great to be fair. I'm about to try Velspar which is meant to be better than Dulux, but Leyland based on my personal experience does half the the job for half the price.

This and the Contract one will be thin and won’t cover very well.
If you going to use any paint get Trade quality yes it’s more expensive but you use less and covers a lot better. I use Leyland Trade paint all the time it’s excellent. Make sure you get the Trade VINYL Matt for walls and ceilings it’s just as good as Dulux or Crown Trade paints.

Thank you - much appreciated.
Contract paint is what it says contract. Coverage is poor as is , in my opinion , this one also. Bought the silk version on Wednesday to compare to the Dulux trade. The Dulux looks white whereas this does not. Looks like will cover okay as is very thick in the tub but the proof of the pudding is on the wall. In future will stick to trade paints for the one coat coverage they offer. The Dulux trade paint is bloody expensive but if time is money! Years ago Wickes trade emulsion was great hopefully is still the same.

Screwfix Basics £5.99 but lucky to find any stock .. screwfix.com/p/v…454
Used Leyland after previously using dulux and would disagree with comments about poor coverage. Found the Leyland to be as good as dulux and far cheaper

Better go to toolstation.
They always have Crown trade 10l for £12 or £15 really good paint. I've used it all around the house.
worst paint I have ever used! too thick and its quite an effort to spread it as far as it goes
Leyland trade you can usually pick up about 3 x 10l for £40 at screwfix!
Armstead from Dulux Decorator Centres is the best I have used. Tried Leyland brilliant white contract, which everyone raves about in the screwfix reviews, but it was very poor. Needed three coats to go over magnolia.

Also worth noting that the brilliant white has a very harsh, almost blue tone. You probably want to get "white".
Why does the picture show matt?
This paint is fab been using Dulux for years spotted this a while ago an it's really good quality paint

Neutral.

I personally wouldn't buy it based on experience, but it is only £10 so far be it from me to stop someone who has the time to paint 3 coats from buying it. If your time is worth £2/hour then this is a hot deal! It is also easier to find than Armstead.
It's only good on replastered walls, as you're meant to water the paint down anyway so it works well on that. We did our loft conversion with it....
On the other hand ...covering existing painted walls is an absolute nightmare. Took us three coats to get to the same results with one coat of Dulux. I'm an artist and love painting but wow I was seriously fed up of this stuff. We bought around 4 tubs of this and we took the unopened 3 back as it's just wasted time and you're not actually saving money, as you use more paint to cover the same area (and more time) so it logically makes sense to buy dulux or another brand tbh.
I bought a tub of this back in october, at the same price, so I’m guessing this is the “real price” of this tub, when its not marked up to mark down again.
