Not a bad price for a front and rear light combo. lezyne stuff is generally pretty good quality for the price. On as part of CRCs black friday run up

Prefer the Volt lights to these. Heat either way not enough cycling stuff on HUKD!

They don't get the best reviews! Granted there are only two available but there seems to be an issue with battery life. Not voted either way.

The front one is identical to one that Lidl or Aldi have sold in the past as part of a £15 pair with one of the more usual small backlights.

I got the XL main beam from this.

Had it a good year +. I don't charge it often but does the job. Good selection of modes.
Only issue I got is the button can easily be pressed while in a bag or pocket full of stuff. Half time my light has been dead due to it been on in a bag for a few hours or stuck on over power output (hold button for 6 seconds).

I paid about £25 new off eBay (someone sold it to me) and I'm very happy with the main beam.

I have the bigger front version (Infinite) of this and the battery life is dreadful even on medium beam. Also I find their mount system one of the worst of all makes - fiddly, bulky and heavy.

I've got a macroduo and macro drive XL and never had any issue like that. The wrap around mount isn't the best but I bought a separate click in mount which is a lot better

Yes, I bought the separate mount also (which was quite expensive) and find that more secure but still bulky and fiddly.

I have the same set for over 2y. use them only winter. never had any issues. battery last about 1 week 30min + 30min ride. i do recomend them.
I have this exact set and everything is great. I had a problem once when I hadn't used the lights for 2 months (summer time, long days) and the battery went completely flat over this time. I even had problems getting it to start charging. However once I did, it never happened again.

They are great for urban commutes.

Someone sold it to you? On Ebay? Really?
I have the 1100 front and 180 rear light, brilliant kit. Had it 2 years, no issues. Purchased from Halfords for £55 for the set, was a misprice
I had been looking for a new bright front light the last couple of days, and this one (the front) did get good reviews, and this is a good price (voted hot OP, thanks). However I went for the Halfords 1000 lumen Bikehut, and used it tonight, brilliant
I’ve been through all the cateye, Blackburn, lezyne over the years and not found any of them great.
Bought a couple of these and work perfectly for me around town.
Very expensive. I have had my poundlights lights for a number of years. I now have a 10000l light from ebay, which shouldn't be use used on the road

I had one for a year, dropped it on the floor when taking off the bike, now wont switch off. Taken the whole metal body, I thought it would be a little more sturdy than that :(.. Bought the set from Aldi a few weeks ago, similar design, hopefully without a similar flaw.
Rate this set, great price too! I cycle about 20 mins a day, front light battery lasts about two weeks (small beam only). Back light, on pulse mode last around 8 weeks.

Have these lights, didn't pay anything like the RRP and still feel like I was ripped off! Build quality is good, battery life is shocking!
I've the 500xl light pictured and used it daily for over a year no issues
Unbelievable deal. I have these, paid a lot more and are brilliant. Decent battery life, USB rechargeable and are really bright.

A bike light is only as good as the mount it uses. In my experience poundland lights have absolutely shocking mounts.

Do you really think that light you bought from ebay is 10,000 lumens?

These are great, as long as the plastic hook doesn't break expesially on the front light.
500 lumens?? For trail riding off road you need 1500+ otherwise you'll be into a tree before you figure out how the corner tightens at the speed you're doing!

But if you're on a normal road and just need to be visible to others any cheap £5 set will do the job. So this deal seems not one thing or another at a price that's not budget either.

Totally agree with this...I know it's a bit more but I recommend the Bikehut 1600 lumens front for £50 paired with the Aldi £15 front and rear. Together you'll be seen from the rear and you won't miss a thing at the front.

Perhaps I'm just a "too cheap" denizen of HotUkDeals but this seems a little price for a pair of bike lights.

Cold as Lance Armstrong's morality!

It won't be identical.

I'll give you the branding is different but otherwise, including the quoted performance, it is identical. Beast of a light but let down by the charging plug on the back, would be much more convenient with a socket like most have.

The lezyne is micro usb? Most have those.

The lezyne is CNC machined. I doubt the Aldi one is.

Performance wise, my experience is that the aldi cheap copies will be ok but will not match the original. The fly 6 copy being a great example of this. The Aldi copy was truly shocking

500 is a bit low for proper off road. Ive managed a dh trail using leznye macro 700 lumen duo when my normal lights battery died. You can do off road with lower powered lights, bright lights are good but beam pattern and placemetn are just as important
I have a set of these, seriously bright lights for safe road cycling

You're confusing models, the 800 for instance has micro usb, the 500 is the same as the Aldi one...

It was also just as good quality as this one but will agree most of the others aren't.

how does that charge then? Does it come with a special cable? I assumed like other poster it would be micro usb

never mind, I see not that it plugs in as a usb stick
Think I got the next set up from these previously and the god awful micro usb connector in the front went dodgy and it's never charged properly since (yes I was trying to be very careful with them). Why do industries this micro, it's appalling!

Probably ok if you use a usb extension cable but then kind of negates the cableless charging

I've both these and the Aldi ones. Theses are much better build quality and battery life.
I've stopped using the Aldi ones.
But I suppose for a simple commute, they both do the same thing

Can't see anything that could be better made and battery lasts ages but will take your word for it. Have a later one too and that is not the best.
I have the 500XL and use it for a couple of hours a day, I charge it once a week (though could get away with another couple of days), with it on the bright flashing mode. Heat from me.
These fail after a while, I charged the front light and while charging it came on and never went off again
