Also just wanted to say I buy a lot of electronics and stuff, and have to say the LG TV's and monitors have been very reliable. More reliable than anything I've ever owned, well maybe not Technics but thats probably it.

Thumbs up - feel the heat

Great resolution. good contrast, Hd ready. what elso anybody can ask for £200.

It would have been great to Include HD ready in the Title.

Does this have digital tuner?

good to see its updated. thanks

Cracking price for this - LG TV's are really good quality. They've got some great models on the market at the moment. Read somewhere recently that they're trying to "take over the LCD market".
Quality TV's at good prices.

Does this have digital tuner?

I doubt as i cant see it anywhere on net.

Many thanks shimagoza. As you can see i am new to this. Just added an image and 'HD READY' to the title.

No Digital Tuner on this TV.
I own one of these Model's and don't have a single complaint about it, this is perfect if you are looking for a smaller range HD-TV.

Some people moan about the sound, but it seems pretty good to me!

I had an eye on this a while ago as my new to be do-it-all monitor/tv etc. But I went off this, when I realised that the displayed image would look smaller with 1:1 pixel mapping (if this even has it) for 720p etc, and also that the physical resolution of the panel (1680x1050) doesn't match anything the vga output of my xbox 360 can handle so if the image is processed and stretched to fit the screen this will lead to further loss of detail (on the 360 over vga 1360x768 is the maximum before you jump to 1920x1080). Shame about the analogue tuner too, when they switch off analogue in 2010 or whenever. Just a few points in case anyone is as trigger happy as I almost was some months ago.

Great deal, shame its not a digital tuner, but still a great buy! Thanks.

Too right, Have this TV in my games room connected to the 360 via HDMI runs a dream. Also tried the PC through it via VGA crystal clear @ 1680x1050, I wouldnt personally class this as a low range 22" with a contrast ratio of 3000:1 its up there with alot of higher end models, also featuring HDMI, VGA, Component, SCART, AV and S-Video its got more than enough video inputs

The digital model, ]22LS4D, will cost you around £300, so a good saving though stock looks limited and you may want to factor in a STB.

3000:1 contrast - apparently LG (and several others) have started testing in a different way (measuring dynamic contrast ratio) to get these very high numbers compared to 'static contrast' figures nearer 1000:1 from a slightly earlier model. The public like high numbers. ;-)

pluves1, select your region from the following page :

hope this helps

If anyone is wanting a digital version of this TV, you could get the 19" version with Digital Freeview tuner inbuilt for £223. £299 on website for the LG 19LS4D, but AJ electronics and dixons have it for £233 & £235. So with Richer Sounds price garuentee they will match and also beat it by £10. So LG 19LS4D for £223 .

I got this tv when it was £250 - it's a good tv, the sound is very tinny - so I always plug my digibox in to my surround sound amp.

Picture is good, although it can be a bit vague in very dark scenes, but it's acceptable. At £200 it is a good bargain for the bedroom.

I am seriously tempted to get this for the bedroom. I was just about to buy a Samsung SM2032MW, which can be had for only a few £'s more. Oh what to do now?????!

I can TOTALLY recommend this TV as a monitor or a tv, easy to use and great options for changing brightness etc, i use as a tv for my 360 and a monitor for my computer, both great. I got this for £250 for my birthday from empire direct. would of got from richer sounds but they only did the 19ls4r, at around £250 and didnt stock this one. If you ned a tv, go with this one. Perfect

Edit: forgot to say, the sound is lacking. So make sure you plug in your speakers. But thats not to bad

I would rather consider this "Screen" (Samsung SM2021MW) as "LCD Monitor/TV" than "LCD-TV". Please all be noted that the panels these two screens using are no different than a typical 22" computer monitor except that they have a glossy glass on top. Both of them are using "TN" panel, which is cheap but poor in color rendering and viewing angle. Good visual performance can be guarantee only if you are facing the screen at the front, not from the side.

anyway, £200 is a good price for those who want to use the screen for both computer use and gaming.

Yep buy it, I got 1 from Richer Sounds about 6 months ago and love it.
It's my PC monitor & Games Console screen (with all the correct connections).

I paid £30 more too!

What's the diff between this and the LG M228WA then, is it just HDMI vs. DVI?

I've been looking at that one for a while, 15ukp more but deliverable: ebuyer.com/pro…735

amazon.co.uk/Sam…ics

I've been eyeing up this Samsung as a Christmas Present.
£209 FREE Delivery is better than most sites.

Could anyone with a bit of knowledge, please, tell me if the Specs are decent?

again... that's based on TN panel (you can distinguish by looking at the response time and viewing angle), the viewing angle would be a problem if you are not facing the screen at the front.

depends on how you use it....
