Been on the lookout for a 144hz FreeSync monitor and this has to be the cheapest that I have found. I chose this monitor as it has a great review and also the cheapest monitor I could find that supports LFC (low frame rate compensation) for when the frames go below the 48hz freesync range.

It was £189 the other day and I almost bit, so think it's a steal at this price.

In depth video review here.

I owned this monitor and hated it. There are visible scan lines on the screen all the time. When scrolling text has lines in it and is unreadable. The colours are completely washed out. The gaming features I found to be pretty useless. Lots of motion blur even with the highest performance settings on the monitor enabled.

And then to top it off the monitor developed dead pixels a week later. It's cheap for a reason.
Reviews on Amazon arnt fantastic but you cant always go by them. Have you got a review link ?
Did you look at this Acer KG251QF which I opted for amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1 Review here monitornerds.com/ace…ew/. Like you had been looking for ages. Difficult to find anything decent in the budget end.

Yeh I checked out the reviews quite extensively and loks like the early batch had a problem with scan lines or something. The amazon usa reviews of this omnitor are really positive.

Using it now with none of the above issues.

I will add the OSD is top notch and is nice and simple to use.

If the problems have been sorted out its one of the few gaming monitors with this spec at this end of the market that may be worthwhile.

If I could afford it I think id go for this :- expertreviews.co.uk/pc-…ket

Sounds like you had a faulty one.

Unlikely they are all like you have described.

Just got it mate and testing on planetside 2, freesync and LFC is bloody amazing, even when it hits 35-40 frames it still feels great. No issues either in regards to what the other poster complained about. Took a while to get colors right, just bumped hue and saturation up! Great monitor and well chuffed
