Heat added, this would work well for my sons game playing. I might be able to reclaim the telly in the living room.

Same reason I'll be getting one ^^

Hope your plan works!!! :-)

I plan on using this for photoshop mainly on my mac. Anyone think it is suitable? At the moment am using a 19" samsung led hd one. Colour replication doesn't bother me too much its the quality. Thanks.

What do you mean by quality ? Color reproduction is a crucial part of a monitor's quality assessment.
Especially for photoshop. And on a Mac. Just buy a good monitor, VA or IPS panel.

Thanks, looks like hot deal! Was looking for a small, good TV for gamining so will be getting this for my room

Any difference in picture quality as compare to other HD monitors if I plan to use it as monitor with PC?

So you first have to spend £100 and then you get the voucher then you spend another £89.99 on this or any other item?
Not really a hot specific deal.

^^^ no u just spend the money on the tv then add the difference to make it 100, then u get ur voucher lol

£100 for any kind of 24" TV seems great value to me.
It's probably not the best out there, but most people can hardly tell the difference.

only 1 hdmi socket puts me off would have bought otherwise

bought one, fantastic offer.

I don't really consider 1x HDMI in a TV this size any kind of handicap. Would be using as a TV for the dining room/kitchen area on the wall, so don't want a load of devices hanging off it.

They're also doing the 22" for £89.99

No freeview HD is a deal breaker for me.

Yeah, the title is a bit confusing oO IMO it would read better if the (£89.99) bit was removed - Great deal though OP, been on the lookout for this size for my sons room, HOT from me

I'd hold out for nrgit when they post another dell p2414h for £89.99, far superior both aesthetically and colour reproduction wise if you're looking for a monitor. Get a stand for £10 and its the same price as this

C'mon people, for the price this is a great TV with a quality picture and good reviews......really one one hdmi puts you off? You'll be paying more otherwise. This seems to fluctuate between £99-129.99. It did drop to very briefly to £89.99 at their Argos outlet on eBay a couple of weeks ago.

Is it IPS or TN panel?

now TV box with 3 months sky with this tv for extra £10. Plus 5 other offers. Not bad.

Me too I'm afraid. I would have definitely bought it otherwise.

Wait I spent £120 in Argos on Monday and didn't get a voucher. Has this promotion just come back or did they forget?

I would want to use this as a monitor. Would there be any difference between using the VGA and HDMI connections?

It has gone from £126 to £119 to £149 and now £99, selling like hotcakes on ebay:

It is a great little TV, the only downside for me is no headphone socket.

It does have a headphone socket, i bought this a while ago at 119. Its under the USB slot. Great TV for price. 1 hdmi doesnt make much difference just buy a hub.

I thought that was audio in.

Bought this a few weeks ago for £120, very happy with it, both as a TV and a monitor. Got Sky so no Freeview HD wasn't an issue for me.

Have some heat. Cracking deat for this TV.

Really annoys me when stores do this.

Free voucher/delivery with £X spend!

And all of their stock ends in a 9 or .9, forcing you to trudge through all of their cheapest crap.

Sorry about the rant, hot.

Gone for the TV + Now TV offer, takes you over the £100 threshold.
3 months pass is worth about £15 sold on and the Box will be used for plex services around the house.

Cheers.

Hmmm, you could be right. I've never actually used the socket and not looked at what it says above it. But it could be audio in. I can check when I get home.

There is an audio in below the USB, for when you want to use the built-in speakers while connected to a PC via VGA. However, I can't remember if there is also a headphone socket elsewhere.

viewing/playing is prob ok but one main difference I found is that you cannot view the BIOS if going thru hdmi as the BIOS loads before the hdmi drivers. I've got my PC hdmi to my tv and keep and old monitor in case I need to change BIOS settings. PS If anyone knows a way around this I'd like to know.

It is something with LG. I noticed that none of the lower end LGs (sub about £300) have headphone sockets. There may be a few around but none from those listed on Richer Sounds.

For those complaining about 1 HDMI slot... you could pick up some kind of splitter for under £5
