Thanks, yeah I forgot to mention..
This monitor will definitely not be for everyone, but if you reckon you sit close to your screen/don't have the space or budget to go bigger, it really seems like a great buy.

You will need binoculars to use it. COLD

Yeah, certainly wouldn't do for me as I don't have the most amazing eyesight, so I favour larger displays wherever possible. I voted hot simply because there is no way to get an ultrawide for less, but unless you are REALLY set on the format, I think for the vast majority a decent budget 24" regular 16:9 display would be cheaper and better for most people....

Have this screen. Cracking picture. Had about a year..but you will want to go bigger. Its hooked me into ultrawides. No going back.

Guys think of it as two monitors glued into one. I think it’s good for productivity (I.e outlook and word side by side...etc)

realistically the best use for these smaller 1080p ultrawide displays is for triple display sim racing if you want a more traditional high-end setup. 3 of these mounted directly to a platform such as a playseat would offer a great lower cost alternative to a HMD if you are interested in a more fixed setup.

I love my oculus rift but there's no denying that there are more driving games that support a wheel on PC that have triple monitor support compared those that support a VR HMD.

Two very small monitors, it's a good monitor but the difference between this and the 29" is huge.

Ultrawides are great, but for most, 25" will be too small. The vertical height of the monitor will be equivalent to that of a 16:9 19" or 20" monitor. Still a good price that some may still be able to enjoy from.

Also, not sure it will be obvious to everyone (or that most people would even care) but this doesn't have built-in speakers

Will I get the same resolution if I use a dvi to hdmi adapter.

Getting delivered by Hermes, hope it doesn't arrive in the dual monitor configuration lol.

I've read a review (although don't the monitor yet to confirm), that it has an output headphone port you can plug speakers into for audio over HDMI.

Yes, that does seem to be the case. Just potentially an issue for those like me that currently use the monitor speakers only

ordered, thanks! I was waiting for it to go back down.

I have the bigger version with built in speakers and they are possibly the worst speakers I've heard in years, you're better without them. My tiny cheapo Tesco TV sounds 100 times better.

It's the same price on eBuyer with free delivery too. That opens up the possibility of (at least) £1.62 cashback.

hmmm... decisions decisions....

I noticed that but decided to post the amazon link, since I've heard eBuyer has a really awful returns policy for dead pixels.

Thanks for the info. Amazon it is then!

Hoping for some input guys.

I currently have an old 32” Toshiba TV (1080p) at the end of my bed that I have connected up to my HTPC for both watching movies and for university coursework. Would this be a good buy to replace the aging (10+ year) TV?

Thanks

No, this monitor would be tiny at that distance, and most movies will have black bars. This monitor is meant to go on a desk, for gaming or to show multiple windows.

You’re probably right! Maybe a 32” monitor might be better, especially for word processing. Wish I had room for a desk

Excellent monitor BUT, I have one this with has display port input. I do recommend Mac users to get display port model one.

Giving it a go
