Got an itchy trigger finger for this one (only packing a 1070 so it's a choice between 144hz or 1440p). Anyone got any negative comments before I pull the trigger?

The general consensus between refresh rate and resolution if you have to pick between them is go for refresh rate.

Yep, have had a look at 2/4k monitors at 60hz and 1080p at 144hz and refresh rate is king. I know if I grab a 1440p 2k I'll end up dropping another £600+ on a new GPU, which is really silly considering I only built my pc from the ground up a 2 years ago...
This looks great, but I’m unsure what to pair with my new build. Not purchased the GPU, but I’m circling GTX 2060 super or 2070 range. I have a 27” 1080p 75hz which will be a second monitor.

Any thoughts on if to go 1080 or 1440p for high settings with that I mind?

I've got a 1440p 144Hz monitor with a geforce 1070 and I have started to drop the resolution to 1080 but keep it at 144Hz for more modern games just to eek out the extra frames so I'd say go for the Hz.

Yeah, I don't like the stretched out look of 1440p at 1080p, so have pulled the trigger. Thank you all for the encouragement, my wallet isn't happy but I am :-)

You'll struggle to get 1440p, 144hz at Ultra settings in new AAA games with the 2070, but you could most likely get 100fps, 1440p high settings with it.

If you've got an itchy trigger finger it might be the 300nits. Boo boom, here all weekend.
I am still undecided whether to go with an eBuyer deal on a 2060, RX 5700 or 5700 XT. My current Dell is only 60Hz, so I am tempted to get a new monitor like this one and get the cheaper GPU to run 1080p at 144Hz.

Thoughts people....?
The link is to a "27GL63T"
That not the same as the hukd title. What's going on?
The monitor code above does not match the Link - LG 27GL650F

On Amazon it goes to 27GL63-T

??
I want the 850 which is basically the king of IPS gaming monitors right now and £200 more expensive. It's also difficult to source, you pretty much have to buy from Europe at the moment to get it this year. This is a nice cheaper alternative though.

Doesn't seem to be much of a difference between them... 1 hdmi on the 27GL63T compared to 2 on the 650f... would be interested to hear if there are large differences overall?

For me I'd stay clear of 1080p regardless of what you're current GPU is. You'll upgrade the GPU in a year or 2 and you'll then want 1440p. 4K is still out of reach for high refresh gaming imo. But 1440p is the sweet spot and id imagine it will be for some time.

Unfortunately I know if I have 1440p I won't be happy and will upgrade gpu. My friend has a 2080 and a 1440p/144hz and is struggling to get high/ultra, 1440p and 144hz on all games we play, so I am happy to compromise on resolution for now. In a few years I'll upgrade GPU and the cycle will continue!

So which one is on offer? The one in the title or the 27GL63T? Were there many differences between to two?

27 inch and 1080p is a no go imo for a monitor. I'm going to order the 1440p version from Overclockers which costs twice as much but will be worth it

I went 1440 and regret it. If you're playing a lot of multilayer fps games id go 1080p 144 with 24" screen size

I have a 27" 60hz 1080p at the moment, I really don't mind the resolution, but do enjoy the screen real estate. Will update tomorrow once this arrives with my verdict on how good it is.

Finally a decent G-Sync compatible 27", 1ms, 144Hz FHD monitor for a REASONABLE price. I've waited years for them to become more accessibly priced. I currently have a freesync 27" MSI TN monitor. Absolutely dreadful OSD app that is buggy and fails to start on system start correctly. Never going with MSI again for monitors. Stick to laptops MSI.
You can get the AOC 24g2u for £179 , 1080p 24 inch IPS 144hz seems to be better value than this ?
