Cheers pal for the advice
My son plays fortnite and thinking of getting him a faster monitor. Is 75 hz much different to 60hz? It is 25 pc faster. I think should look for 120 or 144? But a lot of cheap 75 out there.

What do people think?

I am looking for a gaming monitor for my son as well to replace an old tv.
I think it’s the response time which is what you want the lower the better.
If it’s only on a console then I don’t think the Hz makes much difference due to the consoles restrictions (I think), someone else might be able to confirm

Thanks! True about consoles. His friend just gone from 30 fps switch to 60 fps xbox. You might be able to set 120fps on some pro consoles... Not sure! But we have a pc and so we can go as high as the gpu and cpu allow!
Anyone know best/easiest way to use as a tv aswell ?

Fire stick or chromecast often discounted heavily and can use all catch up apps and iplayer. Or can get a freeview or whatever it is called box from ebay. Usually lots of talk talk ones
Same price at Amazon.

This is a great deal, but annoyingly the Freesync range isn't listed on AMD's website. If it's the same as the previous non-B model (TN screen) then it's 30-75 via DisplayPort which is very good. EDIT: this model doesn't have DisplayPort, which is a bummer for Nvidia owners.

For gaming, you want to go for a 1ms response time with 144hz, it makes mouse movement sooo much smoother. You can probably pick one up for around £150, maybe even less on Black Friday.

Is it a matter of unplugging console and plugging in fire stick every time you want to use i.e 1 HDMI port ?
Anyone have experience with 75hz monitors for console use? Heard there are a lot of problems with backlight bleed on the cheaper panels of 75hz monitors.
Looking for a 27" ips monitor to use with xbox one x only, originally looking at 1080p 60hz but was informed to get one with freesync as it would make a huge difference to motion blur. Trouble is finding a 60hz monitor with freesync (kind of a mute point I guess).
Any and all input would be gratefully received
